How do I get songs to show up on Navi from iPod?
Trending Topics
If you have ipod integration system will show on your cluster only.
If you dont have it but have the jack input on the glove box will not show any were except on the ipod it self.
If you have factory installed media interface will show on the command.
Not sure if media interface is availleble without command.

My 09 w/o MM or COMAND shows the songs in both places.
Actually, I don't know if I have MM or COMAND or not, but I don't have the pop-up screen. That's for sure.

The iPod integration kit in MY 09 and 08 cars with Audio 50/COMAND is operated solely via the instrument cluster. In MY 10, however, cars can be equipped with the optional UCI (universal connection interface) in lieu of the old iPod integration kit. iPods connected via UCI can be controlled via the HU.
iPod integration on cars with Audio 20 and UMI/Nav +4 regardless of model year can be operated via the HU.

You are correct about the media interface being able to control the iPod. Technically, however, it's not necessarily a factory installed option. It's readily available as a retrofit for Audio 20 systems.
Edit: I see you're in Canada. In the US, UCI was only available starting in 2010. Apparently Canadian vehicles have been shipping with this for a while. That explains the confusion.
