Buying and fitting parking sensors

I am thinking of buying parking sensors for my 2008 c class new saloon model.

Can you please recommend the type of sensor that I should buy and any reliable websites/retailers that sell them. Would it be best if I fit them myself or get a qualified person to do so?

I live in the U.K

Many thanks

I would recommend installing a rear view camera instead.

C230 W204 with C63 Kit Package
I bought this over internet http://www.proxel.com/
Cheaper, and best of all NO HOLES to drill. Happy so far and it works well. I installed the display at the rear glass instead at the front console.

I can look the display over the mirror. It gives more OEM look that way.

The big difference with the genuine Parktronic is proper integration & speed activation for front sensing + visual display of which side of the car's bumper is getting close to an object or if both side displays activate you know it's central if out of sight.

Hi Geek,
The parking sensors, FOr me that is worth a LOT. but actually there are many kinds of parking sensors out there. We purchased one of these,They've been on for almost 8 years and have never given me a problem.

This parking sensors beeps and has LED display which changes as it nears an object. It is very easy to install and the sensor sits behind the bumper so there is no need to drill holes in it. Connecting power is as simple as attaching to one of your reverse lights. It comes with full instructions and is in perfect working order.

Hopefully it was worth it, will let you know.

Which one are you talking about? Everyone I look at you would need to drill for the sensors. To the OP if you have MM go for a backup camera instead.
