CAN ANYONE HELP ME ON TIRE FITMENT.
CAN ANYONE HELP ME ON TIRE FITMENT.
I CURRENTLY JUST PURCHASED NEW 19'' RIMS FOR MY 2010 C300.
19'' X 8.5'' X 44MM OFFSET FRONT
19'' X 9.5'' X 44MM OFFSET REAR
I MOUNTED 235/35/19 TIRES IN THE FRONT AND 265/30/19 FOR THE REAR. I NOTICED THAT THE REAR TIRE SIDE WALLS TAPER IN SLIGHTLY MORE THAN THE FRONTS.
I KNOW THAT BECAUSE I DRIVE A 4MATIC IT IS IMPORTANT TO KEEP OUTTER WHEEL DIA. WITHIN 2% OF EACH OTHER
THIS IS NOT THE CASE HERE.
MY QUESTION IS IF I EXCHANGE THE REAR TIRES FOR 275/30/19'' WILL I HAVE ANY CLEARANCE ISSUES WHEN I INSTALL THEM AND WHEN I'M DRIVING DOWN A BUMPY ROAD.
DOES ANYONE HAVE A SIMALAR SETUP.

in my opinion, your problem is not tires. more like wheel offset issue that your rear wheel offset being too low.
if I were you, I will replace rear wheels with higher offset (something like 50s) and slap on 265/30R19.
if this is not the solution, you might want to get 255/30/R19 instead of 275/30R19.
44mm offset + 275/30R19, it will rub on fender hard.

A spacer will push your tire out further, which is opposite of what he was recommending. If you have a 44 offset and he is recommending getting something in the 50s (i think 54 is the max for 204s) then he is saying that your rim is sticking out too far and needs to move in, towards the brakes.
To answer your question, adding a spacer will technically decrease the offset.

It's the rolling circumference of the tyre that matters on a 4Matic. In fact on any Merc with ESP. More important on the 4 Matic so you don't overwork the transfer case.
235/35/19 = 817 revs per mile
265/30/19 = 822 revs per mile
This equates to a 0.61% difference which is well within the 2% range so you are fine.
Your sidewall taper difference is caused by the rim width. Don't worry about it. Your rolling circumference difference is negligible.
This issue has nothing to do with offset if I understand you correctly.

Thank for your help. But can you anwser this for me.
The reason why I want to exchange my 265's to 275's is because of the side wall taper on the 265's compared to the 235's on the front rim it gives the appearance that the rear wheel looks smaller than the front. By installing 275's which is a wider tire it will solve the taper issue. But I would like to know if i do install the 275's; will i have clearance issuess with the 44mm set rims. also the 275/30 and the 235/35 are also well within revs.

Keep your tires as is, from the factory the rears are actually shorter than the fronts..which is odd. Do not go wider.

The rubbing will be an offset issue. As Mtl, said don't go wider. And, as long as your beads seat properly, you'll be fine. I am guessing by saying "taper" you mean you have a bit of a stretched look?

Yes, you are absolutly correct ( stretched look )
If I stay with the set up I have; everything should be fine
235/35/19 tires on 8.5'' rim with 44mm offset
265/30/19 tires on 9.5'' rim with 44mm offset

OK - we are all on the same page & understanding one another. Stay with the set up you have. You are damn close to having a rubbing problem. Your rolling circumference matching is great & won't get the ESP complaining.
its gonna be easier to just post the wheel(s) ur looking at and I'll tell u what u need. U will NEVER find wheels to an exact spec, theres a wide range of wheels that fit, many offsets and sizes. Start with diameter, ie 18s or 19s or 20s or whatever u want and post some info. If you dont know look in the wheel and offset thread and link a pic or something of what u like. Anything with a high offset +45 or more will sit less flush with fender or inside fender. Anything +38 to +45 will be flush or tiny stick out from fenders but will clear no prob with right size tires
^ hes right on the money. Actually the correct combo for equal stretch is 235/275 but its tight on the rears without super high offset. If you look at a 8.5/9.5 setup w 235/265 theres slight stretch in the rear more so than the front. Alot of "safe" setups are 245/275 on those to give more bead protection
