which stock rim on C300 do you like more? 08/09 or 10?
US MY08/09

US MY10

I have a 08. When I first saw the five spoke one (stock on 10 C300 in US, but it was stock on C300 in Canada since MY08) online when I bought my car 1.5 years ago, I thought it looked much better than the 7 double spoke one I have. But later I found the five spoke style is way too common on road. Even a base pontiac G6 with plastic wheel cap has similar design. The 08/09 7 double spoke, on the other hand, looks quite unique.
G6

So which one do you like more?

The 5 double spoke 17's are 23 lbs ea (I bought some take-offs as spares, and weighed them).
If they are 10 lb lighter than each 7 spoke, then you save 10 lb scale weight and about 5 lb "rotational inertia" weight per corner, for 60 lb total (*).
I found a rough equation for 0-60 times, based on weight/hp ratio. The 0-60 times predicted by this are not as accurate as any calculated differences due to weight or hp changes.
0-60 time = .32 W/HP + 1.7 sec
assume 228 hp, and 3700 lbs with light wheels, 3760 with heavy wheels.
for 3700 lbs, 6.89 sec
for 3760 lbs, 6.98 sec
difference is .1 sec ..... good guess!! (for a 10 lb difference).
------------
(*) 5 lbs rotational weight saved is 50% of static weight saved. This assumes the wheel is 70% of tire dia, and assumes the maximum effect of lighter wheels, where weight saved is all at the rim OD (size).

Does anyone know if the c300 luxury rims are the same proportions as the c300 sport 7 spoke? If so, I'd love to do a direct swap for those
