Tan Sport Interior

Ok so I've seen 2 different versions of the Sport interior for 2010 in Tan- one has the 4 spoke steering wheel and the leather shift knob such as this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2010-...item1c138eda51

But most others I've seen have the usual Sport 3 spoke wheel and the aluminum look shift knob. What gives? Anyone know why there are 2 different versions? I'm picking mine up at the end of the week and am wondering which one I'll get

WTF? Did they get their images messed up? It is supposed to have aluminum and the 3-Spoke wheel. Possibly they ordered a separate option for the woodgrain and it came with (or again another option) the 4 spoke design?

Don't recall where I read this, but I clearly remember reading that the choice of the tan interior in the Sport is not available with either aluminum or 3 spoke wheel. This seems to be a complexity reduction for what they anticipate will be a very low running shared trim set with the Lux.

I've seen it both ways on 2010s. My best guess so far is that early MY2010 vehicles built in 2009 may have still gotten the Lux interior but that later models got the Sport trim. I will let everyone know as soon as I see mine.

I checked out my car today, and I'm pumped- it has the leather shift knob and the 4 spoke wheel. I do prefer the 4 spoke wheel to the 3 spoke one, but I REALLY like the leather shift knob compared to the aluminum look one. I'm just not a fan of the aluminum trim, I know a lot of people feel the same way about wood trim too.

Ready for your steering wheel mod? Just swap out the center air bag hub to the new C63 style rim, but same size as OE!

That wheel looks sweet, I will definitely consider it. The part of the interior that kind of bugs me is the space between the seat heater switches under the radio controls. I don't have P2 so it looks plain to my eye. I'm trying to think of something to put there, perhaps a small Mercedes badge or 4matic script ike the CL has or something.....has anyone else put anything there?

When ordering Almond/Mocha interior on a Sport model, you get the four spoke wheel and a leather shift knob. If your going by the build your own page on the Benz website, its not accurate (it shows the silver shift knob, because they were too lazy to use another picture for different color choices).

Keep in mind the Almond/Mocha interior wasn't originally available on the Sport model until late 2009. So, they are actually just using the interior parts from the Luxury model, which is why you can't get the silver trim, only wood trim is available with the Almond/Mocha interior. Also note that its a solid Almond/Mocha interior instead of the usual black carpets and black headliner used in the Sport models. Guess it speeds up production, because I don't see how its saving them money anywhere else.

I don't think the pics do it justice......in person it looks great. To me, the 4 spoke wheel looks more "meaty" than the 3 spoker, even though the 3 spoke is supposed to be sportier.

I picked up my C300 today, and I must say that it's a perfect blend for me. The Black exterior looks absolutely wicked with the Sport pkg and AMG wheels. Meanwhile, the almond/mocha interior with the burl wood trim and leather shifter has a nice luxury feel to it. For me, it's the perfect combo- Sporty on the outside, luxurious on the inside. I bet the mats will be somewhat difficult to keep clean- but so far, no regrets!!
