Get the Brabus one. The best shifter for our car IMO. Thing feels like solid cast iron! And it looks sexy illuminated at night. You can order directly through CEC who are the North America official distributors of Brabus products.

All Brabus parts in North America come from CEC (Claus Ettensberger Corp, 949.797.0177) in Irvine, CA. They're the sole authorized distributor of Brabus parts in North America. And the install takes all of maybe 5-10 minutes. Easy.

Ill call them!

It's the same shifter from manual and auto. It actually comes with multiple top cap pieces for you to pick (Brabus "B" or Gear shift). They come with adhesive backing and you just pick which one you want and put it on. It's a pricey piece, but it's one of my absolute favorite mods as you touch and use it every single time you drive the car.

Hey Mike,

What exactly do you mean by 'illuminated.' Does the shifter light up?

Hmm, nice, but not worth $400 IMO. I went with the Schaetz Carbon and Chrome shift knob for my 55. It's a substantial piece of kit, and feels great. 204 has the same style mounting shaft, so should work fine.

Yes, the shift knob lights up. There's an LED light under the top cap.

Looks good Mike.
Have you heard anything about a short throw shift kit for the C Class yet? With your connnections, maybe you could find someone to develop one for us? Would the W203 run the same setup?

There's not enough manual C's out there to justify a 204 specific short throw shifter unfortunately.

Yea, I figured that would be the case. At least the torquey engine allows to skip shift pretty frequently.
