Benn, there are some products in the market but I believe what they currently have is for the luxury bumpers. A few members here have them retrofitted into their cars but then it cost a bomb. DCT motorsport is working on them for quite a while now and hopefully it would get released on the market soon.

The '11 C's have a more traditional "straight across" LED setup which might be an easier switch. They aren't that angular down-cut look like the E-Class though.

And if I'm not mistaken, the W204's new LED's are a bit more dim/yellow-y than the W212's?

ANY MORE PICS OF THAT CAR THOUGH????

I'm thinking of blacking out the bottom-middle of my front bumper too, and can't tell if it'll look stupid or good. Would like to see more pics of it on a W204 even.

I don't love the blacked out bumper on the 204..l think the 212 might pull it off better though.

Yeah, it's driving me nuts. I don't mind doing a little cheap mod to give a little unique twist to my front end, but I don't want to de-class it and cheese it up.

I get conflicting opinions from those who I've showed my lousy "Photobucket Chops" to. My GF says it looks "toothless" and less classy. I took it to a reputable Car Mod Shop and the guy advised against it, saying the big black/"empty" space will make the car look like it has "fangs". Then those who saw it in a Thread I posted online, all liked it.

Here are those lousy chops:

Aand the OG versions:

I wouldn't black out the bottom on the e-class K-A. I think it will look silly. Your "photochops" aren't very good and rudimentary at best, but if you squint when you look at it, you can see what it will really look like, and I don't like it, but that is just my opinion. You might like it, or some others, but not me. And that's why Baskin Robins has 31 different flavors!

To OP, that guy bought the E-Class "hockey stick" LED's that are oem with the mesh, and then had a body shop alter the mesh from the E-class to fit his car (cut the edges). I also think they had to modify his mounting bracket for the LED as it is wider than our fog light ones. I looked into buying them from an online website, cost was about $400 in total, but that isn't including the time and cost it would take for a body shop to jerry rig it to your car. Advice: Just wait for DCT to finish up their plug and play model, unless your willing to spend upwards of $600 for the modification.

Those eyelid lights are AZN Optic's 8000k LED. You can easily find him or the thread where you can buy them from him through the search function. If not, it is usually in the top 20...

Thanks, and yeah, I'm starting to really realize that. I figure, it'd be one of those things where someone who's paying attention, might think "oh, that's different", and the 99.99% of people who are not, would see mine sitting next to an identically colored E, and think "there's something wrong with that one", talking about mine with the blacked-out middle.

M-B really got the front end of the W212 perfect, I mean, I think it's one of the best Sedan fronts of all time. I usually find one or two things immediately that I can do to a cars front (necessary mods, not extra's for the sake of it), and with this E, I got the Pano, the HID's, and blacked out the amber reflectors, and with the Sport Package, it seems anything else will be for the sake of individuality, but will detract from the quality of style.

Sport grille, and flat badge are out of the question for me, as well, lol.

That car has a front lip, that makes the difference. I would black out if I had a front lip only.

Actually I didn't even notice the front lip until you pointed it out, and I've looked at that pic extensively.

Those front lips do nothing for these cars IMO, not only do they looked detached and obviously "rigged" on, but sometimes you can't even notice them.

That black front lip treatment makes the side fenders appear to be hanging there without being attached to anything.

Yeah. That's what someone who advised me against it said as well. Like it'll have a "missing tooth", or "fangs". Seems to be the case here.

Hello,
I bought your same DRL LED RUNNING TIME.
I am Italian and i do not speak very well the English.
I would ask you any question, please.

My car is a Mercedes W204 C250 CDI (ITALIAN VERSION):
This car comes with standards fog lamps.
To connect the DRL led I must to disconnect the fog light so the fog light plug remain idle.
(ThisThis process causes the light fog burned Idle)

Turning to the installation, I connected the wires in this way:
the black wire to the machine frame,
the red wire to blue/black wire of the headlights plug
the orange wire to the positive terminal of the tail lights and
the blue/white wire to the positive of the fog light.
this link will be wrong and LED DRL do not work properly.
I must politely asks you for help.

I hope that will be available to me to send me a wiring diagram or WIRE I hope you explain to me step by step how to connect the wires.
I thank you infinitely before you answer me.
Please help me
Best regards
Alessio Longhitano

You will need to wire in a resistor so that the car thinks that the LED is drawing 55w of power (which is what the stock fog light uses) so that it won't display the light out error message.

As far as the LED not working properly. What is wrong with it? Does it turn on at all? Blink, etc?

DRL FOG LED INSTALLATION

HELLO,

I POST YOU THE PICTURE THAT TELLS ME AS I MUST TO CONNECT THE WIRES.

PLEASE, LOOK IT AND TELL ME WHAT I MUST TO DO..

I CONNECT BLACK WIRE COMES FROM DRIVER'S KIT TO THE FRAME OF MY W204.
I CONNECT RED WIRE COMES FROM DRIVER'S KIT TO BLACK/BLUE WIRE OF THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT PLUG.
I CONNECT ORANGE WIRE TO THE POSITIVE WIRE OF POSITION LIGHT
I CONNECT BLUE/WHITE WIRE TO THE POSITIVE WIRE OF FOG LIGHT.

IN THIS WAY WHEN I TURN THE KEY LIGHT UP LEDS WITH HIGH BRIGHTNESS.
WHEN I TURN THE LIGHT SWITCH IN THE POSITION LIGHT, THE BRIGHTNESS OF LED IS LESS.

WHEN I TURN THE LIGHT SWITCH IN THE FOG LIGHT THE LED REMAIN AS IN THE POSITION LIGHT AND DO NOT INCREASES YOUR BRIGHTNESS.

READING MY CONNECTION, YOU LOOK THE MANUAL INSTALLATION AND TELL ME A SOLUTION.
I THINK THAT I CONNECT THE WIRES IN A WRONG MODE.
