I've heard to mix peroxide and water...a half and half mix..then use a sponge. Glad you survived the cut. At least you didn't post.."how do I remove blood from my trunk carpet"

I would wait to try the peroxide/water mixture. It does get the blood out of clothes but I had experience with a couch. Peroxide does have some bleaching properties. I would wait for Mike to advise.

Hydrogen Peroxide will lift the blood stain pigments very well. Be sure to rinse with plain water (or a mild soap solution if you prefer) afterwards.
I have used hydrogen peroxide to remove blood stains from a rug, but the first time I didn't rinse afterwards so the hydrogen peroxide did lighten the fibers. Another time I did rinse with water after cleaning with hydrogen peroxide and there was no bleaching or lightening what so ever.
MB-Tex is not porous nor absorbant as fabric, so the hydrogen peroxide shouldn't penetrate the material, but I would rinse after cleaning, just in case.
I have used rubbing alcohol to clean pen marks and other stains off of the MB-Tex with good success with no residue or bleaching. Not sure if it works on blood.

no means no.
If you use alcohol less is more....too much and you can dry it out and cause damage. They also make leather cleaners that are safe to remove stains.
