C350 Winter Tires - what tires do you use?
After yesterday's snow storm in Northern NJ (and the rest of the world it seems), the roads were cleared - except maybe about 3 inches on the road. Tried to run errands with my C350 and got stuck!
I realized I needed snow tires (or a new car; snow tires are quicker!) if I *have* to drive and I really need to drive this season.
Anyone faced this before and installed snow tires? What tires do you use?

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Last winter I used General Arctic Altimax tires with 17" wheels on my MB and I have a Blizzaks on another car.
Both work well, but my MB was amazing with the Generals. I was stupefied by how well they work.

I would skip over the performance winter tires, as these compromise the purpose of a winter tire. Look at studless or studdable. WS70 is the new Blizzak WS60.

My rear drive C300 went everywhere (within reason) during last month's big snow here.

I had Nokians on a previous RWD car and liked them very much (I don't remember the model but it's likely obsolete by now). I never heard that they could be used all year. I would think the rubber compound being so soft would wear quickly in dry, warmer weather.

Nokian WRG2 FTW.
About five years ago I ordered blizzaks and my guy at the shop told me to switch to nokians which they had stocked, told me to trust him. Well I did and I will always get Nokians from now on. I put my WRG2s (second season) on week after thanksgiving and cruised around this blizzard just fine Sunday and yesterday.
My father has the blizzaks and I drove them side by side with mine and felt more stable with the nokians on ice and slush. On my 06 C class I just left the nokians on all year, you can ride them year round. But for my 2010, I have a separate set of rims so it's very easy to swap.
Definitely check out nokians!

Thank you for the suggestions. I ordered Dunlop SP Winter Sport. Couldn't find good studless winter tires at this time of the year and the different sizes between front (225/45/17) and back(245/40/17) gave me a hard time to find similar tires.
Looking forward to taking my car out again in snow after I get the tires installed!
