W204's and offsets of wheels
Your tires size really matters when it comes to lower offset wheels, if your in the +50 range u can run wider tires. Anyone who needs tire or wheel advice POST UR WHEEL SPECS with the width, diameter, and offset of the fronts and backs. Thats what matters, not just a question or what tires should I run? we need info to help
as far lowering the car do i just buy the h&r spring or the whole kit ?!?!? thanks ...
i was worried about rubbin and scrapin ... i want wheels 19" staggered or non staggered i am not sure if i lower the car.... but i dont wanna stuck with the wheels after that if i decided to lower and i cant(i dont want adjustable) ...
i think adjustable makes ur car more bouncing when hit bump as i had on my ex car ...thnks
FWIW I'm running 19x8.5 +47, 235/35 and 19x9.5 +50, 265/30 on H&R super sports. It sits pretty low and doesn't rub at all.
Another thing to consider is that some tires run more narrow (or more wide) than others. I think Falken 912s are on the narrow side. My tires are General Exclaims.
What kind of wheels are you thinking about? Please let us know how it goes with the wobble bolts.
I think you'd have no problem selling re-drilled wheels on a VW (mk5) forum. That's assuming you got them re-drilled at a reputable place.
I'd get my wheels re-drilled if I could find a local shop to do it for a reasonable price. I got estimates of $75-100 per wheel!
Going to try and call them tomorrow anyways to confirm. If not, then my hunt begins once again. What a bummer.

Here is what it looks like without the 10mm spacer. This is 19x9.5 ET50. Too much gap. 8mm would be perfect, but H&R only makes 10mm,and up.
