Oh yes? I am just about to pass the order. I was told that Falken are bad quality tires. I am a bit confused again. I definitely don't want a tire that will wear unevenly and be noisy. Are you running those tires?

I had 452's on my VMR's and they were awesome, not sure why you say they are bad for our cars? The 453 is a terribly oversized line and if you are planning on any kind of stretched setup they don't stretch well. I'll continue to buy the 452 until they are no longer made. They're the tire of choice for the euro and JDM tuner scene. I had 10k miles on mine and no scalloping or uneven tread wear.

I sell over a million $$ of falken every year. I have seen the results on heavier European sedans and it is not good. You need an asymmetrical tire, not a V tread on a European sedan. Show me one European car that comes on V tread from the factory. This is also confirmed by speaking to tire and car engineers....and my returns dept.

The reply came just a little too late, I have already bought my V-treaded tires (Hankook Ventus V-12's) I will see how they react over time. I know they provide a smooth ride as I had them on 20'' rims on a Mustang and I really liked them. I'll be rolling my fenders during the Christmas Holiday to get ready for spring when I order my coil overs. I'm in Montreal too so it will give us plenty of time before the winter is over to get everything ready! Yay!

If you rotate your tires often enough, you will probably be ok. It's just when neglected (like 99% of people do)..they wear unevenly and will feather/scallop.

Never had problems with Falkens on any of my european cars. The worst experience I had on them was on my Nismo 350z, very noisy hum from them, and that car is considerably lighter. A lot of european cars here in the PNW use 452's for year round purpose here in the PNW with no problem.

yeah that'll be hard since it's not the same size in front! I can't swap them on the other side so they'll have to stay where they are. The best I can do is to make sure the alignment is perfect and air pressure ok.
Thanks anyway mate!

Use the wheel offset calculator in my signature to get what you want. Use your stock specs and go from there. If you want to, use a weight, a string, and a tape measure to see what the outcome will be. 10.5 -11 in the back is going to be pretty interesting. I wouldn't suggest you go that wide unless you like the HUGE poke with a flat rear fender as well as it possibly hitting your rear strut/spring.

In case you haven't already seen this...
https://mbworld.org/forums/4547961-post68.html

He was running 19x9.5 et 25 front and 19x11 et 30 rear. I have no idea what tire sizes.

Not sure if those specs would work on your car though. Isn't yours lower?

"Killing it" is very subjective. Coming from the Audi/VW scene most of what I see here isn't stance at all. Most MB guys aren't into stretch and poke and think it looks stupid. Personally I think square sidewalls and sunken offsets look stupid. Trying to stance a car on 20's just doesn't look right to me. If you are going to pull off the look as it was intended to look then 18" is the optimal wheel size to use. There are guys on here that everyone says are the "wheel fitment gurus" but all I see is flush fitment at best. In the interest of being true to the German tuner car look I think what you guys should shoot for is this look:
W204's and offsets of wheels-978ce92c-efd5-49bf-bef1-c45a2ebd7a31-14189-00000b59e0cf2916.jpg

These are a friends wheels I tested for fitment before buying my new wheels. My car will look similar to this when I put my new Brabus IV on my car. This is what stretch and poke are supposed to look like. I don't consider myself a guru but I know my stuff when it comes to wheels, offsets and stretch.

For you guys interested in aggressive, flush, or any other custom setup you want, send us a PM over here. Don't want to spam the thread, but we've done more than a few full custom setups showcasing what some said cannot be done.

One problem with supersports on a 4MATIC is you need special short shocks for near 2" drop. See if coilovers are available for the 4matic.

There is no difference in the rear, as the same rwd model's rear drive suspension is used in the 4MATIC.

But up front, the struts were moved on the 4MATIC to make room for the front half/drive shafts. So the front struts are different where they attach at the bottom. And because the exact spring location is different, the OEM springs are not the same, rwd vs 4MATIC ... different part numbers. Sooooooo

THE 4MATIC USES DIFFERENT FRONT SPRINGS AND STRUTS (bolt hole locations) vs THE RWD VERSION OF THE MODEL

It may be possible to put aftermarket front springs for a RWD on a 4MATIC, but the respected Engineers at H&R thought they were different enough to specify different springs, at a significant expense to them. These 4MATIC springs are only available in the Sport version. Eibach and Brabus do not offer any springs for the C300 4MATICS.

At one time I thought Eibach offered the lower drop "Sportline" springs for the RWD C300 W204, but now Eibach does not list them on their website, and I could not find a vendor selling them.

2008 C300 4matic
I was checking the TSW site and it says the Nurburgring 18x8 with 45 offset should fit on my 2008 C300. Anyone tried it? How is it? I'm told that I should be worried about brake clearance.

Using 18" on a car that has 16" wheels available in Canada with same brake discs, and 18" available as an option in the US and Canada, there is noting to worry about caliper clearance. Whoever told you that was wrong. Look at the front oem spes for 18" wheels, all you need is to check is that the 5mm extra pop out will not rub the fenders.

OEM SPECS

C300 Sport, reg & 4matic, C350 Sport

front
8x18 _ 50mm
225x40 _ 25.08" _ 92Y XL

rear
8.5x18 _ 54mm
255x35 _ 25.02" _ 94Y XL

Quick question: Why didn't you ask about the fit, before you bought them?
