sorry to hear that man, something must be wrong with your car because the C is pretty reliable, specially the 2010/2011 as they ironed out most of the issues but yea trade it in and get a 2011 C300 or something similar.

Sounds like the battery to me, Ive left lights on or radio on to long and same problem, just hook up a starter kit and it works fine. Do you have any after market stereo? Like subs or anything?

Sorry for your troubles dude !?!
The thought of owning a MB without any kind of extended warranty really frightens me and we have about 10 more months left of our factory warranty ........ but to purchase a MB Extended Warranty from the dealer is a few K's $$$
Sometimes i wonder why not just trade it in for a new car every 3/4 years and deal with the monthly payments for the rest of my life ?? Hope all goes well with the diagnosis and good luck !!

Agree with The Archman, unless its a lease, get the extended maintenance agreement. In Mexico, the warranty is only 2 years, fortunately it can be extended for $1,450 dls, which I did. BMW and AUDI warranties are only for two years and cannot be extended, so that was a dealbreaker for me. Have a V12 which last year ran about $9k in service, so if you want to have a decent, no maintenance ride, get a hot Ford (like the Fusion Sport?), which has B service intervals of 50k miles.

Thanks...found it...I thought it was something Envy had written, but found:
"Beamer Benz or Bentley, your scheming don’t affect me"
which seemed pretty close. That's quite some song!

A bit over 55,000
Yeah, I felt that way as well. But I mean my sister's 3 series had issues as soon as it passed 50,000 miles as well. It's like a timer or something
Yeah, I thought it was the battery as well. Our cars have two batteries and they said it may be the auxillary one... Dunno lol. I don't have any aftermarket stereo or subs

Sorry for your problems. I have taken my 01 E430 to the dealer for off and on since new. I thought I would try an Indy and everytime I took the car home the CEL light would come on. Back it went and another $500 ( o2 sensor, MAF, etc) The Indy would not every give me the old parts back and always said that they were thrown away in the the trash bin. Back to the dealer every 10Kmi for oil change and checkup. Once in awhile the dealer will run coupons on his web site and I have saved about 100 bucks everytime I go in. I had a rattle in my sunroof and the Indy said it would cost $300 just to find the rattle. Went to the dealer, and they knew exactly what it was and fixed it for 100 bucks. I only go to the dealer and now with my new C300, I bought the service special that they offer with the new car, $460 for 10K A, 20K B and the 30K A services, regular value is around $800). I am betting the Dealer will know exactly what to fix. keep me posted)

How many?
If you or he can find a second battery in a W204, I'll send you a dollar bill.
Batteries in a flashlight or the key don't count.

Okay, so we I major problems now.. Guy just called me back today.
He said there are 2 issues. The reason my car won't start is because my "steering lock module" needs to be replaced and it's "not sending power and not recognizing keys" therefore the car can't start.
Total: $945.00
Other reason he said was that when that there is "a lot of noise from the starter module."
Total: $433.00
So now I'm looking at almost $1500 worth of parts and labor. What do you guys think I should do? This is ridiculous. Any advice would be great. TIA.

Complain to MBUSA, get them to cover at least half, if not a full reimbursement. Say how you are so unhappy that all these issues crop up RIGHT after the warranty and how kia offers a 5 year 60,000 mile warranty, which would cover this. Also, the "a lot of noise from the starter module" sounds like complete bull**** and they want more money. A starter going at 55k without being stripped multiple times is just ridiculous.

sorry to hear about your trouble..did you ever get the left airbag disabled thing fixed?? it is hard to have to fork over close to $2k right after the warranty expires..
my advise would be contact mbusa's customer service and tell them your whole story..
if you bought your car at an authorized dealer and the car has always been serviced at dealer, then mbusa maybe willing to offer you some post warranty assisstant..
I recently ran into issue w/ my UMI which only has 12 month warranty since it is retroffited by dealer and not original equipment and mbusa decide to pickup the tab for the parts (would have to spend $1,290 for the parts out of pocket) and I only had to pay for the labor..
btw, did you buy the car new or used??

Lets face it you guys.
Its damn expensive to repair a Mercedes when it breaks.
As if that's not bad enough, you're pretty much at their mercy as to what's really wrong with the car. For all the original poster know, a wire came loose.

I am gonna try to call MBUSA and see if that works. I doubt it though -_- just cause I doubt they'd care about the situation and probably give me a bunch of BS about how I should have just extended the warranty...
If that fails, do you guys think that a local shop can do it? My dad knows the boss of the local Midas and he always gives us better prices when my dad brings the car there and everything. I wonder if I order the parts online from mbparts or something, Midas can just do the install?
Damn this is extremely annoying. At this point, I completely regret not extending the warranty. So for all those who are reaching 4 years or 50k miles and are not thinking about extending (given you are keeping the car for a while), you might want to reconsider but I also understand why you wouldn't because I didn't. Dumb move.

Damn EIS again! This happens too often for my liking. Whoever does the job needs a Star DAS.

Push MB to cover all all or most of the cost under "goodwill". There's been a TSB out about the EIS, since almost day one. Some switches obviously have a construction defect.
Good luck
