Car is dead. I HATE this POS.
Okay, maybe the car isn't DEAD. But it really sucks. I don't know if you guys remember my previous thread with the two issues my car has had. One being it won't start a lot of the time and the other that all my gauges will drop while I'm driving -_-
Called MB to make an appt to bring the car in since the two shops I brought it to (Midas and a local one) said that the issue can't be fixed by them. They said it could have to do with the alarm and it's not the battery or anything that they have the power to fix. Best option: bring it to the dealer where they will ra.pe me in the a$$ and charge me a couple hundred dollars just for a check. Yes, the car is out of warranty and no I did not renew it DUMB move I know.
Anyways, when I woke up I just threw on some sweats brushed my teeth and got in my car. Suprise! Not starting like usual. But that's fine cause it's been happening EVERYDAY and it just needs about 2-3 tries to get it going. 2-3 tries later, NOTHING. 10-15 tries later... STILL nothing. Car is completely dead and lights won't even go on. I tried for almost 15 minutes and didn't get any reaction out of it so instead of getting pissed and destroying my car, I just went back inside and called roadside assistance :P
Waiting for them to tow my car now. Just hoping MB doesn't charge me an arm and a leg cause this ***** is getting very old very fast. And I apologize, just had to vent and let you guys know how much I hate my car right now. THank you for your time
Okay... I don't really think my car is a POS. Just saying.

+1 This. If your car is having that many problems. Just trade it in or get something else. I am surprised though because the w204 has been proving itself quite reliable.
Personally, it sounds like you have something drawing power or a bad wiring harness...

Have you looked at the warranty record on the car? Maybe there is a history of this problem that could help you in having MB help you out with the issue.

Man, sorry to hear about this Easy. Hope this gets resolved pronto. Good show of personal restraint btw by calling roadside. Wailing on the interior and screaming F Bombs would have been exciting for your neighbors though

I wouldn't at this dealership haha... I might use this opportunity to get my Evo X GSR
Could be, the Midas guy mentioned it but I guess I won't know til later in the day.
Thanks. I have MRR GT-1 in hyper silver.
I'm in Freehold so I had to go to MB of Freehold. Damn, I wish I told you guys earlier cause than I would def come to your friend... Where are you located?
I heard that as well. Someone even told me it could be my key since the key was low on battery lol
How do I do that? I bought the car new though and haven't had any issues like this before
I meant the OE system lol.
Oh man... There was plenty of that trust me. As you can see from alex's cartoon, he got it pretty dead on LOL

I agree. Car has been VERY reliable up until a few weeks ago -_-

Sorry for your problems. I have taken my 01 E430 to the dealer for off and on since new. I thought I would try an Indy and everytime I took the car home the CEL light would come on. Back it went and another $500 ( o2 sensor, MAF, etc) The Indy would not every give me the old parts back and always said that they were thrown away in the the trash bin. Back to the dealer every 10Kmi for oil change and checkup. Once in awhile the dealer will run coupons on his web site and I have saved about 100 bucks everytime I go in. I had a rattle in my sunroof and the Indy said it would cost $300 just to find the rattle. Went to the dealer, and they knew exactly what it was and fixed it for 100 bucks. I only go to the dealer and now with my new C300, I bought the service special that they offer with the new car, $460 for 10K A, 20K B and the 30K A services, regular value is around $800). I am betting the Dealer will know exactly what to fix. keep me posted)

Does the vehicle crank over but not start? If so this sounds typical of a failing CPS (crankshaft position sensor)
You say lights don't work?? Did they actually load test the battery?

Sorry for your troubles dude !?!
The thought of owning a MB without any kind of extended warranty really frightens me and we have about 10 more months left of our factory warranty ........ but to purchase a MB Extended Warranty from the dealer is a few K's $$$
Sometimes i wonder why not just trade it in for a new car every 3/4 years and deal with the monthly payments for the rest of my life ?? Hope all goes well with the diagnosis and good luck !!
