Front Suspension making noise :/

Hey everyone, so I've noticed recently that every time I go on a bump my front suspension is making a squeaking noise! Ughh these problems never stop! I told my friend and he said it may be that my shocks are worn out and I may need new ones. If this is the case, does anyone here know if shocks are covered under our warranty?? Thank youu

The 4 year/50,000 mile warranty is bumper to bumper and will cover everything but wear and tear items (brake pads, tires, etc). The shocks should be covered. However, I doubt that they could be "worn out" the w204 is only 3-4 years old if you have a 2008 model. Bring it in to the dealer if your still under warranty and have them look at it. Perhaps bushings are going?

The thing is my lease is up in about 4 months so if it's something I need to pay for, I'd rather not show it to service and just turn in my car as is. But if its covered then I'd rather fix it, what do you guys think I should do?

I would mention it. It will definitely be covered warranty. And if some some weird reason it isn't, don't worry. I guy who does the "lease apprasal" at the end and gives you the quote doesn't even drive the car or anything. They let you get away with murder on leased cars. So they won't give you an issue about that.

I had one of my front shocks leak on me at 18k km. The dealership replaced it for me under warranty. I think for you guys in the USA, it should be covered under warranty also.

kk thank you! Also not related but if I got carbon fiber pattern sticker thing as my interior (where they placed 3M sticker looking like carbon fiber on top of my wood), would they care if I turned in my car with it on or it needs to be taken off? And if so do you guys know the best way to remove the adhesive without leaving residue? thanxx

even if you are out of warranty and the problem is a safety issue they will replace the parts for free.

as for the glue, use warm water and a mild soap.

If you are under 50K miles your warranty should cover the shocks.

My bad on reviving an old thread, but my car has just recently started making noises from the front suspension. When I go to brake or take my foot off the gas and coast the ca will begin to make a thudding/popping noise thats coming from the front end and sounds as if it occurring in rotation with the wheels. I took it to mercedes and they had a look at it and couldnt figure it out, there's nothing broken and the car seems to be mechanically sound as far as they could see. any ideas on what it could be?
