Got into an accident today .

Got into an accident today and destroyed my front end . Car in front of me stopped short because the person in front him had stopped completely about 100 maybe 120 feet before the light . Before I knew it I was flooring the brake bit just could stop in time . I'll post pics later . I feel like total crap , I had to fight back to tears when I was talking with the cop . Just wanted to get my feelings out as my friends and family don't really get how much i love my csr so I came to you guys .

The most important part is that you are OK and your car protected you. Think of it as a loyal friend who rescued you from the situation (whomever created it). Now, there are great "doctors" who will nurse it back to health and be as good as new!

Yeah she did a good job keeping me safe . I hate to admit but at of the day I should been paying better attention . The hood crumpled and the front snapped in a few places . The radiator got jammed pretty far back but the engine looked ok . I have to call my dealer in the morning because my airbag didn't go off at all .

The lack of airbag and your report that you are ok (did not hit steering wheel) are both good signs. The airbag is triggered by the rate of deceleration...how many milliseconds did it take the car to decelerate from the moment of impact. So, with the relatively low change in velocity, below the threshold to deploy the airbag, the damage to your car is probably not as bad as you may have first thought...think positively!!

make sure u get all your injuries checked out, got into a big accident in highschool, 7 years later, I'm still hurting in the back from time to time. At the time of the accident I didn't think much about it, but I really should've gone to the doctors and gotten it checked out.

As long as you're okay that's all that matters. A car can be replaced, a life can't.

Glad to hear you're OK! Get the dealership to give you a solid repair estimate, have the insurance company write you a check, and then see what kind of aftermarket parts you can get to do the repair. It's at least an easy opportunity to get the C63 replica front bumper.

As much as we love our cars, the worst that can happen is we just go out and get another one.

Our lives are as easy to repair/replace.

Glad you came out alive.

Sorry to hear about your ride but I am glad no one was hurt. As others said make sure you get checked out, the car can always be repaired or replaced. If you need a body shop let me know.

Sorry to hear about your unfortunate incident... Give it a couple of weeks and you should get your car back in pre collision state

Damn that sucks. I know that feeling after you check yourself and know you're fine, but then see the damage on your baby...gut just drops. Don't worry though. Take the insurance money and do a C63 front end conversion or any of the numerous front end kits

Perfect time to clear-bra that front end. I'm thinking about having my bumper cover resprayed next year and clear-bra'd then. You just took that to the next level

The down side to install a clear bra after the bumper is repainted is recommended to wait 90 for the paint to cure.

How would I get insurance to cover aftermarket parts ? Just have the shop order what I want rather than stock equipment ? Also would i only be able to get parts for the effected area ? Be nice if they took care of my new wheels lol .

Hey man I'm glad to here your ok. Don't worry I'm sure the car is fine. These cars are built for things like this. That's what bumpers and crumple zones are for right ( well sorta) but it's good your ok. I messed up my c a few months ago I was racing a friend and hit a high curb at 40ish on a tight turn, I thought I messed up a crap load cuz the wheel was bent and the car was lopsided, wheel pointed opposite way and my mechanic thought i had frame damage but turns out all that needed to be fixed was the wishbone, shock, and rim with tires. Now vie learned my lesson and the way i see is it I think an accident is just a way a way to learn from mistakes. Cost 3k but hey we all gotta learn
