Mixedfruits DIY puddle lights

Alrighty Guys been working since 11 am it around 11 pm now and were not done just a few wires that need to me connected and mounted, and a power source to be mounted so here it goes....

Thanks to my friends which prob wount ever see this haha
Nam, Josh, Andrew

Step one:
Take off side skirts..... OMG shes skirtless

See the two black circles you take around 5-6 of them off the bottom of your skirts first

Remove the clips/bolt thing from the front and back of the skirt for the front there are only 2 bolt clip things and for there rear there are two one is in the wheel well and the other under the car they are noticable

This if from the front wheel well the bolt/clip thing from /\/\/\/\

Then take off her skirt!!

Step two:
Get your tiny elf friend to clean the skirts for you haha

Step three:
X marks the spot measured by eye sight where I wanted to mount since it is hard to space with a tape measurer due to the fact that the end and beginning lights have to be near a big gap hard to explain you should see it though.

Step four:
Dig for the treasure .... get it x marks the spot :P
Btw dirty car just went for a run and very hard to clean

Step five:
Caulk or put silicon gel glue w/e you want to seal from outside water

Step six:
Install and connect all wires

Step seven:
This is where it gets complicated heres the situation
on the driver side it looks like this front 0<<<<<<<<<<<<| back meaning that the end (rear wheel well) there is an ending to it so no other wire can plug in of the passenger side it looks like this front 0>>>>>>>>>>>>>0 back So we need to connect the driver and passenger side through the engine bay and from the passenger side to a power source.

Step eight:
Engine bay From the driver side front wheel well i find a crack and pull the wire up to the engine bay

and then wire to the other side and bring it down to the passenger side fron wheel well

Step nine:
Now that we have connected driver side to passenger side we need to get to a power source, heres my compication getting the wire into the car with little wires showing. So from under the car I find a seal from where the extra tire is and from there I wire my wire into the trunk and from trunk to rear seats and into the dome light for power. ( this step I have not done yet check for updates.

Generally mounting is up to the user so heres what my friend did cuz i was tired hard to see so it really up to the user ask me if you got questions

step ten:
Heres what it looks like from the trunk to the back seats

Step eleven:
Clean up and go to power source which I have yet to do basically soder the power ends to a light so when you click on the puddle lights would turn on

Sum up everything:
Take off side skirts
Drill holes and install puddle lights connect driver and passenger side lights
find power source and connect

Heres the not finished product just a teaser I guess:

Finished product!
Tryed to take some pics with longer time to get the light it turned orange b/c my lamp from outside.
Basicly look at the Light from the orange one and then put it in the clear white pics LMFAO

It came out nice. A lot nicer than the ones I see here in NY. When do the lights turn on? Are you planning to connect them so they turn on when the doors open? And I think you should get rid of the chrome strip on the doors. It will look much cleaner

Where did you tap into power? I'm looking to hook up a set and need to find a good power source that only comes on when I unlock/open the doors... Can anyone point out the rear dome light fuse ??

awesome DIY and great pics, i am very impressed and curious how you will do the final wiring in order to have them come up with the open doors as well. power to battery with an inline fuse and then tap the ground for the door lights perhaps?

looks cool , nice DIY . How do they look at night .. Led's seem pretty weak and focused . actual puddle lights have a slight angle so they throw the beam spread out more .
BTW you can buy these same style LED lights at any autozone , pep boys store in white , red or blue..

get some night shots //
