Agility Control

I'd like to know if Agility Control is standard on all 2011 C300, or it belongs to a package. Window sticker does not say anything about it so I assume my 2011 Sport does not have it.

All W204s have Agility Control. There are different parameters for the electronic valve damping between the Luxury and Sport, not sure if for different engines because of their weight, if the programming also varies the control.

There is agility control and there is advanced agility control. All cars come standard with agility control. The advanced agility control is an option and it's active dampening and would listed on your window sticker if your car came with it. An easy way to tell is if you have paddle shifters.

If there are paddle shifters, then is it the standard or advanced version?

I see. Is the advanced agility / dynamic handling's "comfort" mode supposed to be softer than the standard one on Sport?

No it allows you to switch between normal dampening to electronically controlled continuously variable dampening. Basically it makes the ride even stiffer and firmer.

Which brings up a pet peeve of mine.

The original agility control promoted when the 2008 model came out was nothing more than slighly variable valve in the shocks/struts. Essentially the same as you get with most shocks.

Its still promoted now and it does make for a more comfortable ride on higher end cars.

Correct.

But there is an easier way: If the car has a botton on dashboard that says "sport" - car has Advanced Aguility Control and thus adjustable suspension.

Peopel often get confused between the sport button on the gear shifter and the one on the dash. So the easiest way is probably what i wrote in post #3.

Paddle shifters = you have it, no paddle shifters equal you don't.

That's about it.

Overall, ride quality is not much different than my 2001 C320's on 17" C36 wheels with the same tires my 2008 C300 has but in 18".

But, the W203 was a head tosser which the W204 is not so over all the ride quality is very slightly better.

2008 C350-Sport-AMG-Active Agility Pack(Not reliable) +Izuzu KB6 3L(It seems Reliable)+Mazda
Advanced Agility Package

I have the Advanced Agility Package which gives you the Sport Button on the dash, Sport & Comfort mode.

I also have the AMG package, which lowers the car and the Paddle Shifters added with this, + AMG rims, + AMG speedo console=not like other W204's.

@mr_inkredibul - Have a C300 Sport with Euro2 package (paddle shifters and C-S-M transmission control button, besides a whole list of optons) but NO advanced agility control.

Wow I didn't even know that was possible. Never heard of it. Thought only cars with paddle shifters had to have AAP and have the sport button on the dash.

@Tekker: Here is a pic, no advanced Agility control even with the paddle shifters (e.g. M button). Also, check out the nice seats.

Right.

The AMG Sportpack is standard on US "Sport" versions, thus paddleshifters are standard as well - as they comes with the AMG sportpack.

Not sure if the advanced aguility control is standard as well.

Not true. US sport models do not have paddle shifters unless you get the Advanced Agility control. Which almost every dealer doesn't order.

What about manual transmission cars? How do you figure out if it has the package or not? Or was it only available with the automatics?
