just tried it on my c200k se and it worked a treat ;-)

While we are on the subject of resetting things, is there a way to set the radio station call signs. e.g. some of my stations that are say 106.1 or 101.7 have their actual call sign as in MIX or WSFM etc. Is this a function that can be down with the car system or does the station have to broadcast that information?(as my local dealer told me).

I did what you said. At first, it didn't work, because I guess I didn't sequence the thing properly. Basically, I tried again with your instructions under my eyes, but it still didn't work. I got pissed off and forgot about the whole thing for a while. Then I tried again, and this time it worked perfectly. Which means that MB probably programmed the thing in such a way that fiddlers are not encouraged. If you get it right first time (as a pro), it works. If not, you need to seek pardon, go to confession, bow your head and come back in penance. But if you do it right first time, and quickly, it works! Glyn, you saved me a few expensive A and B Mercedes shop services, believe me!

My C is my weekend car for now. I think $200 or so for Service A on 2500 miles is a waste.

If I am sure warranty is good, then I just wait till it's about 10K miles. Any comments on the MB warranty? Dealer will probably not tell me the truth; they want to make $.
By the way, 2500 miles are 50% city drive not really a stop and go, 50% on highway.
You are the one who seems to have best access to the internal docs of MB. Do you have something with respect to the Engine Air Filter on a GLK 220 Diesel?
And enjoy the Cape area, you lucky guy! I haven't been there in thirty years, but I still have fond recollections of the Stellenbosh wineries!

I have a 2009 350 cdi with 4 button steering wheel.
I was searching everywhere for the last 2 months, and all I could find was the 12 button resetting. THIS WORKED FIRST TIME.
thanks again for the heads up!
Cheers
