US Navigation Maps Re-Loaded = $1500?
When I was in Germany, I bought a 2011 U.S. spec C350. It came pre-loaded with U.S. maps. Mercedes installed the Europe maps for me. Now that I am back in the U.S., I called a MB dealer to get the U.S. maps reloaded on my system and they quoted me $1500 for the map DVDs. Is this normal? I didn't have to pay anything when I got the Europe maps installed. Do you think this could be covered under my warranty? Any other suggestions for cheaper alternatives?

Going to go call the MB dealer again to clarify why it costs $1500 when the discs costs much less.
Try update route.

MB in Newport Beach had my car for a week and couldn't figure it out. They told me that they'd have to work with Germany to figure out what's wrong. I finally got fed up and took it to MB in San Diego even though they didn't want me to and they fixed it after getting some info from Germany.

Seems like others have said, that once you set your region to the US, and reload the MAPs, it should have been good to go.
The update disc should be with everyone by thursday the latest. Enjoy and please post reviews. thanx

As expected, it took about two hours to install, and it had to be done while the car was not moving. I tried to do it while the car was turned off to save some gas, but it kept turning the COMAND off after a few minutes each time. So I gave in, turned the car on, opened the garage door half-way and let it install.
Working great, and solved one issue for me already. Pre-update, my office's address wouldn't show up on the map (I guess the road was built a couple years ago), but now it does.

Thanks again!
Benz45 sent another disc my way and same issue disc unreadable. Any ideas?!?
When i open the cd on a desktop computer I can see all the files on the and it looks like a legit image. Any have any thoughts?
