Factory Bi-xenon Headlight Adjustment

So while I've beenw aiting for my next scheduled appointment to take my car in to adjust the headlights... I hit a MASSIVE pothole in the BX the other day, not sure how I didn't get a flat, but now my driver's side low beam is pointing higher than EVER (higher than the high beams lol)

So before I go around and stick my finger somewhere it might get hurt... What are the chances that maybe the bulb is just not seated properly any more because of the sudden and harsh impact? It was pointed slightly higher than the passenger's side before, but now it is WAY up in the trees. I light up street signs a mile away lol...

I know these HID's have leveling systems and all types of things connected to it so I don't want to just go ahead and start pulling and pushing at things without knowing.

I would start there. Disconect the plug to the bulb and reseat it. Couldn't hurt.

Nope. For BiXenons, you need to push the two clips inward and unplug the bottom connector in order to remove the bulb. Tell me how it goes for you. My Bi-Xenons seem to be aimed pretty low IMO. May look to get them fixed sometime soon.

Thanks snarling. I lookedaround early last evening and can see the clip, its like the ones that hold a typical bulb in place, but i cant get it opened. Its holding a box in place with a mesh wire attaced to it... any further advice or pic tutorial would help.. gonnaswing by the dealer as soon as they open in like an hour...

After re-seating the lamp - Next time you are at the dealer tell them to check the front sensor alignment with the Star & a lightbox. The sensor arm mounts on the sway bar and might require resetting/recalibrating/alignment.

To do a reset to default yourself. Mark the clamp on the anti sway bar. Undo the sensor arm & cycle the sensor from one extreme to another a few times with lights powered up. Then reattach arm to sway. If your default settings are too high or too low then you need recalibration with Star or mechanically at the lights if too far out.

As you only have one beam out the problem at present is mechanical on that side. Hope seating the lamp fixes it & you don't have a damaged linkage in/on the light.

That box is the bulb :P (The igniter for the bulb to be exact). The mesh wire is the connector that provides the bulb with power.
