Window Tint/Paint Protection Film
Now I'm sure everyone agrees that it is too expensive for tints but I did get my last car done there and they have 20 years experience just doing tints...so would you pay for that peace of mind? On the flip side, I have a guy who does them for $150 at a local audio shop but obviously they are not a specialist...
My other question is, does anyone have any experience putting or getting that protection film on the car? Is it expensive? worth it? Any info would be appreciated.
Oh here is the website to the Specialist http://www.lorenzotintny.com/

Its either them or Lorenzo's...
Do they take the door panels off to tint these cars?
The film itself has a bit of a blue hue from the inside-out, but the heat rejection is superb (92% i believe is whats advertised). And the installation was everything I could ask for. I felt like they took care of my car. Also, they installed a thick (clear) protective film on my fog lights at no extra charge.
Definitely protect your fogs if you haven't already. They're prone to breakage, especially if you use them (my theory is the heat makes the glass more brittle). That's a $300 bill to replace.
I paid the extra ($325) to have the ceramic and Im very happy with it!

P.S. Im sure you werent referring to me when you implied that someone would go to a "Hack" to have the job done. I had mine done in Wilmington NC at the best and well established shop in town.
