Smile Sport mudflaps

Yes there are - just search ebay for them. Can't remember the name but they're made in the UK and the company will paint them body colour for an extra cost. I think the unpainted ones come in at about £80.00

Silly question but both pre and post facelift have same specifications in terms of fitting exterior accessories such as mudflaps, spoilers, bodykits, etc right?

Not completely certain but I would think that if there are differences the company would ask whether the model you were looking to fit the mud deflectors to was a Series 1 W204 or the later 2011/12 model.

Here's the most recent thread

https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...here-w204.html

I think it is highly likely that no changes have been made to the wheel openings where the flaps attach. The 2012 exterior design freshened the tail lamp lens pattern and headlamp/fascia shapes. The headlamp drove a change to the leading edge of the hood, but the investment for the side aperture of the car would have been huge, so the rear opening is almost certainly carryover. The hood change was relatively minor and it appears not to have driven any change into the front fender. But, you can probably eyeball this at a dealer to be more certain.

I recieved and fitted mudflaps today, got them from ebay.co.uk they say that they only fit 2007-2010 amg sport, but the fit on my 2012 c250 was excellent on the front, very good on the rear with a bit of persuasion.

Order them from your dealer.

EDIT: BTW - if your dealer gets confused tell him to order them from the accessories catalogue - not the EPC.

Good luck with dealer, my dealer in Australia told me that the only way to get mudflaps for an amg sport was to take standard mudflaps and cut them to fit amg shape (apparently they done this before). I would be interested in the part number Glynn, if you have access to it.

The only mudflaps I've seen from MB are not aesthetically pleasing. I've posted several searchable threads on these, which still elicit compliments on appearance.

The mudflaps in the pictures are the mudflaps that I have just purchased, they are manufactured by Hitech in the UK, apparently Hitech were supplying these to European MB dealers, I haven't painted mine yet, still undecided.

That's them....I have not seen them in the U.S., other than online for mail order. I can't imagine what else you would do with them, other than paint them??? They will look quite "cheap" left in the black plastic.

I think those are great but there is nothing wrong with Benz moulded mudflaps. They fit perfectly without invasive damage & sort of disappear into the tyres at most angles. The 203 ones were a little large but the CLK ones are fabulous.

You probably have something nicer than what we have. These industrial looking ones are all that are shown on MBUSA.

Invasive damage? These mudflaps use clips & existing plugs in wheel arch on the front, and a clip system on the rear, installation requires only 1 additional screw through the wheel arch lining for the front flaps.
Glyn, I would really like to see the original MB mudflaps for w204 amg if you could possibly post a picture, that would be great

Next time I go to the dealer I will try to remember to shoot a pic of the German ones on a 204. They are also held on with potent clips & Benz plastic rivets into the lining. South African's consider them expensive. I would not be without them. Just fitted to the CLK.

EDIT - They are in textured black hard rubber. I can't imagine colour co-ordinating them.

I think they look great & if Sportstick says they are effective that is good enough for me.

Thanks, Glyn.....Warren, they look great...when done in bodycolor as we have, they add the impression of a little extra ripple of muscle along the body surface.

BTW, from what I can see, I very much like the exterior of your house too!

I wonder if these fender flares would add a more finished look on the rear wheel arch with the Hitech mud flaps

I only like the mudflaps in the back. Looks much more integrated there and definitely adds a more muscular haunch.
