Brand new 2012 c250 SRS warning light comes on
Anyone encounter this? I just picked up the vehicle and dont want to drive it back to the dealer so soon. Wondering if it's just a simple computer glitch and if it goes away by resetting something.
Long story short and without going into the details, in my case it was caused by a low battery condition that triggered the SRS warning light (e.g. someone left an interior light on while the car was sitting at the dealer or after a test drive, etc., etc.)
I brought my car back to the dealer, the technican hooked up his computer and reset the SRS warning light, and it was all good to go.
With best regards,
By the way here is a picture of the malfunction message:

Basically, if you move the front passenger seat forward to the max, then put some pressure on the back of the front passenger seat (when the engine is turned on), the SRS malfunction light will come up.
I wonder if this is a design flaw which apply to most (if not all) new 2012 C-class sedan, or it's just my car? If anyone here in this forum who has a 2012 C250 can try to see if you could reproduce this SRS malfunction by (1) move your front passenger seat forward to the max, and (2) put some pressure on the back of the front passenger seat, that would be great! I hope I'm not the only one who is having this weird issue. Thanks!
