WeatherTech Mats don't fit !
I've been very happy with the fit and performance of this product on other cars I've owned: Jetta GLI, Audi, Accord. But I just got a set for my '08 C300 and guess what? The mat doesn't fit properly in the driver's side.
I confirmed that I have the correct part, and the mat is cut precisely enough. But it's supposed to snap into place, just like the OEM carpets do. In fact, if you look at the fitting on the bottom of the floorliner, it looks exactly like the fitting on the carpet. But, when I press it down, it won't snap into place. No matter how hard I press it, it won't snap. If I move my foot along the mat, as one would when driving, the mat slides one or two inches fore and aft. Not safe!
I called the manufacturer, and the customer service rep said that the mat was designed to "sit on top of the floor pillar." That was a bogus answer, in my book, since the mat is completely unsecured if it merely sits on top of that pillar, instead of snapping onto it like the carpet does.
Have any of you other C-class owners tried this product? Have you had a similar experience?
Or does MB make a similar product that protects the car floor, snaps securely in place, and looks decent?
I am ticked off that MacNeil Automotive (the manufacturer) blew this version so badly and doesn't recognize that it's an issue. I actually bought the liner from autoanything.com, which said they would check back with the manufacturer to see what can be done.

The mats have two small recesses designed to contain, but not snap into, the floor clips. This has worked fine over the last two winters.
I cannot understand how Sportstik and Rogwp's matts don't move around. I tried to snap my mats down, but they just sat on top of those pillars-- my feet could easily slide the mats back and forth.
Hey.. maybe I should stick some Velcro under the mats-- that would give them some good friction.

I've made it a habit when sitting down with snow-cladded shoes to "clap" my shoe edges together a few times before rotating to swing my legs in, shaking off almost all snow. As a result, I've never actually experienced what you describe, and my three year old carpets still look new. I guess to each their own, but I've since bought sets for three more cars with good results.

Sounds like we're split between keeping the mats and sending them back. I have a rol of 3" Velcro... Think I'll stick on a patch and see how the mat grabs then.

Are the WeatherTech mats really worth the additional $70 ( especially is they don't fit correctly ) ?

I've been trying to get a price and availability quote for more than a week with no answer. And ordering it from an online retailer burries me w/ $50+ shipping.....
So my wife picked me up a set of black rubber OEM mats today. We've been getting dumped on up here. Yesterday they closed all the schools and that hardly ever happens in Alaska.
1. They are in my car (front and back)
2. They cost less than weathertechs
3. They fit
I can say that with the deep snow we've had up here I'm glad to have them. I can see needing to "drain" or clear them since they don't hold a ton of water.
