Led Eyelids
Recently changed all three of my lights(low beams, high beams and fog lights) over to 10K HID kits and the halogens eyelids look horrible. Took the bulbs out for now, getting errors of course but ill deal with it for a week or two. First attempt at ordering the bulbs didnt work out so well, just wondering if anyone has changed their eyelid bulbs over to blue or led, i would love if someone could post to me a link and give some input/ideas . Thanks all!

Irrelevant to my question, but how exactly is it dangerous, ive had hid kits in all of my vehicles including a 2003 f150 that the Low/high beam was only one beam, but theyre were both hid. My
c300's high beams are blinding, brighter than most high beams out there on the road. I love them, yes they take about 8-10 seconds to warm up, but when they are warmed up they light up the road like its a football field. Ill post some pics, you would be surprised, every person who has seen them love their brightness and say they look great.

The wait time for them to warm up doesn't seem practical based on the normal usage of high beams. Seems dangerous. How often do you use high beams where you live? Unless its in a location where there are no street lights -and- other drivers are extremely rare to see on the road at night, I can't see how this would work properly. I agree that the high beams must look like crap next to the HIDs but they aren't generally on and sometimes function > form. Still, it must be awesome once they are warmed up!
Do you mean 'one beam' like bi-xenon where you have 1 HID bulb for high and low beams? In that case it works great because there is no warm-up time since the beam is modified when you turn on the high beams, while the bulb has already warmed up.
As for your original question - you should order some LEDs from AZN Optics - he is on the forum and you can find him with a search. He has awesome 5000k LEDs as well as blue LEDs, if you really must. They won't throw errors or flicker either.

I tend to use my high beams alot, I live in a small resort type town in NJ that is dead throughout the winter season. Alot of wooded areas around here I throw on my high beams but honestly i would never really even use my high beams because my low beams and fogs put out so much light that high beams arent really necessary. I dont usually flash my high beams too much at people either as it would wear down the ballast/ bulb faster. They may not seem practical for some people, however the look of it for me is a plus, as well as they are crazy bright at night. They also serve as a great lesson for drivers who decide to drive like an idiots or just drivers who **** me off lol.

Btw thanks for the eyelids info, will definitely look into it! And as far as the hid high beam low high beam bulb yes i mean bi-zenon. I had a kit once where the low beam was HID and the high beam was halogen...and it was all one bulb setup(such a horrible kit) but once i had my Bixenon kit it was hid for both high beam and low beam. I completely agree with you, they worked great. i honestly wish my c300 was only one bulb instead of two for hi/lo beam. it would make it so much better.

i find drivving with highbeams at nighttime is harder on the eyes. The reflectors actually blinds me back and puts more strain on the eye. safer to drive with low beams only....
ive done 24hour drive on roads, so i know how it feels when eyes get tired and what is best
but considering you put 10k hid, your rice status is probably that high too. so ya......
get some error free t10 led from ebay?? they are only under 10 bucks for blue ones. might match it better.
another alternate is to soldier in a resistor so the error code will dissappear.

I ended up just ordered 4 from AZN Optics, tired of dealing with sometimes sketchy stuff from amazon/ebay lol. Got the blue led, should match pretty good. Also I drive back and forth to Blacksburg Virginia and my lights are great for drives. I understand what your saying with how it blinds you by basically ricocheting the light off, however i have 5% tint on all side and rear windows as well as 35% tint covering the whole windshield. Looks dark on the out side, but helps alot especially at night with headlights and even at day with the sun.
Just uploaded some new pics, check them out if you want

A little off topic but what do I do if I pulled one of the wires out by accident? I was on my last one and the inside passenger side eyelid wire got pulled out.
I removed the headlight so I would have more room but I cant get that clip opened up to put the wire back in. And I cant seem to find any.
Help I need to get this done and back together.
Thanks.
