I am new to Merc's so don't know much about them. I was under the impression that chipping a NA engine wouldn't be of much benefit, perhaps I am wrong.
Can anyone chime in as to if it's worth getting the C350 tuned/chipped and if so what kind of a tune/chip should be considered?

I have mixed thoughts.. The answer is buy a C63. I drive around 4000 miles a month and a c63 just wouldn't work for me. My c350 still gets 29 MPG on the freeway and 23 in town. I have reprogrammed my ECU, added K&N filters, added a x pipe and the controversial sprint booster. It’s fun to drive…..but I still want more.

I had OEtuning on my 350 and it was noticable, def a few HP but dont expect miracles. I now have brabus tune and its about the same, I got it for almost nothing otherwise I would have never spent the money they were asking. if your struggling to find HP its not gonna do it for you, its one of those why not deals I guess....

seriously though, what tunes essentially do is change engine parameters ie timing, injector duty etc to maximize hp/tq that the fty otherwise dumb downed for fuel economy.

I sent mine to the AMG performance center @ Mercdes of Buckhead Atlanta. I gained roughly 30 HP. I have also put a cross pipe w/ high flow mufflers. Kevin is the head of the AMG performance center.
