Honestly just leave it alone , the intake is so good as it is . I tried the makeshift come filter thing and I was way down on power . Do a chip instead or headers . You can swap to a slk 350 intake but I havnt seen any numbers on the increase .

The stock intake system is beautifully designed. All I ever see people around here doing is downgrading it, sucking in hot air, and increasing risk of hydrolock. I am especially amused when someone "upgrades" the intake, then dyno tests it with the hood open and posts their newfound "proof" that it added HP.
