There aren't any aside from what's already been discussed in this thread sadly. No one takes the CGi engine seriously, they've all jumped on the CLA/A 250/45 mostly because I guess those cars look sporty thus deserve to drive sporty

I'm currently trying to work with some MB tech's on the turbo issue but it's going rather slowly. I've already checked for myself the OEM turbo (at least for me C200) but the manufacture is unresponsive in having an idea about the specs. If someone has connections with IHI please reach out to me, maybe then we can get an idea of the stock turbo and if it's possible to do a hybrid turbo.

However we still have a tuning issue, piggybacks are limited in the parameters they can alter and how far. Until someone can/is willing to work on the Siemens ECU, we're dead in the water.

I was talking to Weistech about our laggy transmissions the other day (I have 5G). They said they are working on an aftermarket trans ECU to fix the issue, Exciting!

Meanwhile, I am pretty keen to fit an external BOV. As said earlier in this thread, I want that whoosh sound Not much luck as yet, but after talking to Go Fast Bits in Australia, they are currently working on a stronger, more efficient replacement to our factory diverter valve.

I will keep you all updated

They already have a tune for the 5g but they don't list our cars in the application. From what I read, isn't our 722.6 5g pretty much the same all around with the others even used in the AMG models? Technically it should work no?

While I would ASSUME so, Weistech are the guru's here. I'm sure if they had a product to sell me they would have offered it to me when I asked.
Perhaps it is more to do with how the unit communicates with the ECU than how it operates the transmission?

Also, note that the TCU is a siemens model, are the difference between a TCU and ECU so vast that they can crack the code on one and not the other?

Well I sent them an email so we'll see what they say.

I would think so. It isn't like no Siemen's has been cracked ever, just not ours. When it comes down to it, it is the software and how that software integrates into the rest of the car that makes it hard to crack, not necessarily who made it.

For the 7g people, I wonder if this would be an option too

No, from how Weistec phrased it on their response, even though there is product for 722.6 and 722.9, it is application specific and not general for the 2 transmission models.

Has anyone looked into this? This seems pretty promising, they also have an OBDII flash available from the same VRTuned company:

Has anyone tried the VR tuned on a c250? For $700.00, I might need to be the first....

Be sure to do a before and after dyno! Our testing revealed the traditional approach to piggyback tuning, biasing the TMAP&MAP sensor, as that box above does, yielded minimal gains.

I wish your "testing" would have revealed the check engine light and limp mode issues that so many members have experienced with your tuning product. No offense, but I'm hoping to find a better solution.

I'm not aware of any issues with the tuning, other than the single "over boost" code that will appear, if the dial is set too high for the vehicle. For the JB+ my suggestion would be to start at the MIN most setting if the thought of a code with an aftermarket tuning product scares you. As far as the other tuning boxes go, I can guarantee they won't throw the same code, as they can't actually raise the boost pressure without direct wastegate control.

As far as the C250 JB+ goes if anyone needs help with adjustment, etc, please feel free to email myself or our technical support department. Their address is on our website. I only causally read this forum so likely would miss any posts for assistance here.
