just painted headlights....
So after watching several videos over and over again...I finally felt like I was ready to paint my headlights....and just like hotelcrazy said....it just takes time and patience.... honestly toughest part was holding the damn plastic from the wheel well yo the side while I took off bolts....painting headlight was quite simple...pre heated oven to 300 till ready then let light sit for 8 min and with a butter knife just push through the glue to desperate light...I even only did one coat of paint just cuz I knew even small blemishes wouldn't be noticeable thru the lenses...I'm very satisfied now...took off the lamin x film...I'm gonna post pics of my build as soon as my wheels come in and I put them on which should be soon...I'll post a pic of the lights apart...but haven't washed the car yet cuz I figured I'd let it sit a day...don't wanna risk condensation!!! I encourage all to try the headlight painting....hardest part is starting it...took just a few hours cuz labor...
Soon to come mods...mirror covers from 10-12 style...gotta paint the lower chrome window trim...cf lips...and wheels...dunno what else I'm gonna do after that!!

I know this may sound like a funny question but does your oven smell like melted plastic or anything like that?? hahaha!! My lady would KILL me if the oven smells or if any of the food she makes has a funny taste lol..
also what did you use to reassemble the headlights together. What sealant, how long did you rebake the headlights, what color paint did you use, did you have any prepwork to do prior to paint and did you notice any condensation yet?

No condensation.... and its already poured...black plasti dip vinyl to paint...only cleaned headlights before put in oven...put lights on a baking pan with foil on it to avoid plastic melting...no funny smell...I pre heat oven to 250 and let lights sit for 8 min each...to reseal didn't need more sealant cuz stock sealant still had enough when I closed lights and heated again to reseal....done and def worth it..

Looks good, how bright is the turn signal without the chrome reflector?
Im thinking of painting my turn signal reflectors as well, but am worried they won't be bright enough. I'm going to get LED turn signal bulbs, but again I'm still worried about even the LEDs not being too bright without a reflector.
what do you think having done it?

I painted all the reflectors black and I just installed the led side markers as well...I think its fine cuz I didn't paint the small plastic cover directly over the signal light....plus we have side markers and mirrors that have signals...think u should be just fine

Wow this was easier than I thought. Only painted the piece on the bottom as I didn't want all blacked out look. Bought sealant from Amazon which was really easy to use. Will take some pictures tomorrow when daylight hits.

Update:
Back to dip more parts. Since Im going to replace the headlight glass and will be taking my headlights apart again anyway. Going to let these dry at least 24 hours or so hoping I dont have the same issue as last time.
Smoked eyelid with chrome delete
Also cleaned the projector lens. They were so foggy.
Before
After
Final product. Looks like letting it dry for 24 hours was enough to not allow fumes to not damage the inside of the glass as my previous mistake.
