That's pretty much how long in keeping my w204 too. But I think I'm done modding for now. Probably put the money into something else other than cars xD too be honest I think spending about $500 for the OEM lights, $100 for the programming and $100 for overnight shipping is not worth it for me. The looks is better but not for $700 and people don't know c class won't know what changed.
Where did you program them?

W204 C220 CDI Manual 2007 RWD Elegance
Just to confirm, if I have a 2007 W204 can I do the rear SAM re-coding? Since I have ILS on my car, which means I have rear led turn signals, I have to go with OEM, which I think look a bit better, but not that much better to spend that much extra cash.. I also hope that my friend in Germany will handle the coding since he stated he'll try but is not sure wheter it will work or not.

Ordered mine 2 days ago and already received from VipMotoz on eBay. Have heard a lot of other members using these guys. Customer service great so far and quality looks great. Will post pics after install.
Thanks again for the DIY

I mounted the pc board to the left inner fender with Velcro strips. The Velro strips stick very well on the insulation.
My left one was buzzing too but once I mounted it to the padding it stopped.
Sorry for the late response I was out of the country for a couple of weeks.

With that said, if it melted once I worry that if these wires melt they would burn the dampening pad. Anyone else mount onto the pad?

The wire in question was the ground wire (brown). It was sized too small for the power (current) the tail lights could generate. Lucky for me the ground wire on my setup was fine. The resistor panel will heat up but not enough to melt the padding. I mounted it where it is clear around the unit so it should be fine. I still will check from time to time just in case.

How can I know for sure if my current oem tail lights have led or not. I have an '09 with premium package 2. From what I'm reading here these replacement tail lights won't work for those who have LED lights.

I just installed clear side markers too. Love it!

If your turn signal is LED then they won't work. Check page 4 of this thread.

These tail lights trash garbage poor quality.
I've ordered a pair from vipmotors. When I installed them there was an annoying buzzing sound. Contaced the seller to return them for full refund.

"open the little carpet compartment, find the 3 gold resistors, cut the green wire with the very thin yellow line, on both sides, thats it ! clear of the buzzing sound and no more error message"

I have read this entire thread and still uncertain about a couple things and hoping for some needed answers...
1) Where can I get a set of hese lights?
2) Any issues with melting wiring? Anywhere? I am scared of this.
3) I have non-LED lights in my 2010 C250. Will OEM C350 half LED lights work if I bought and plugged them in?
Any help here would be awesome.

Finally my pair arrived and I installed them tonight. I couldn't be happier with them. I must agree this has made the car look a few years younger.
By the way, my car came factory fitted with OEM LED turn signals. I can confirm this aftermarket pair has worked without any error light issues. (I got mine from vipmotoz on ebay). This seller guarantees their item will work on ALL models (incl LED fitted models and C63) with no dash error. This really was a plug & play solution. Fantastic customer service too.
Big thanks to OP too the DIY made it super easy to install. Really took my time with it, and yet it still only took under an hour to fit.

MBWorld Fanatic!
Sorry to bring up old thread but hows the visibility with backup cameras? I assume visibility is reduced with the reverse LED's vs the halogen?
