this one looks really nice....interesting to see the final product..
definitely less angular from the current style...
i really like the angular/amg/aggressive look of the current models
your thoughts?

i love the W204 and i always said my next will be a W205 but these last few months the snapshots (inside and outside) from the W205 disgusted me.
mercedes already ****ed up the E class 212 sedan and touring with the facelift (yes on the coupe its acceptable)
currently the only mercedes lines i would buy are the SL, CLS and S but they cost more then i'm willing to pay since they all start at about 80 000 euro and up

The new C, the CLS, the new S - they all look alike now from the side now. And we all see what the nose of the refreshed E looks like. Each car is losing its own identity, losing a distinguishable exterior design cue unique to each car.

I would group the cls and the cla together. I think the cls has a very definite "swoopy" look to the profile, just like the cla. It doesn't look like the c or s class though. The s class looks like an inflated c class, which I would group together as well. The e class is different all together, and my favorite (read: can't afford, of course). It looks chunky and squared, which is cool.

Saw one tonight
Saw a lightly disguised white W205 driving by today on a major street in LA (in the area where I've actually seen multiple future MB models.... not sure why there's quite a few around). I wasn't able to follow it, but it looked like the white car in the photo(s) above (there were more photos from the original source of the photos). Looked higher and slightly longer than the W204 but still compact overall. Not quite as soft and rounded as spy pics have made it look.
Definitely looking forward to seeing the real thing.
I thought the facelifted W212 looked horrible in photos, but I think it looks far better in real life and seems much more coherent than the original design (which I actually didn't like much at all).
Did not see the interior, but, based on the spy pics, it looks like there's more "dash" behind the floating nav display, so I think that's just a place holder....

More spy pics....

Dashboard switches bare a passing resemblance to the ones used on the last-gen S-class. Had been hoping the floating center display was simply a placeholder for the "real" display, but I guess that's not the case....

i think the camo is covering up the sharp edges and corners a bit...so when the actual car is shown, we will get a better idea .

Here are the latest spy shots, including the wagon.
Unfortunately, it's not very promising:
