Headlights Cycling on and off automatically

After exactly 5 years of ownership today, my C350 with bi-xenons experienced the famous german electrical gremlins.

I came out of my parking garage in broad daylight, so the headlights were on from being inside. As I was pulling out, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when I saw the green headlight symbol in the instrument cluster cycle on and off (as well as the white glow of the instrument cluster). Of course, I was moving at the time so my attention was not on whether the headlights were on. I let it go, but tonight as I was turning the car off, the headlights instantly turned off as they should, but then the eyebrows and the interior lights started cycling on and off as well.

Great, so I am out of warranty and am about to go in for a service A. Cant wait to hear how much this will cost. I did find some similar cases, and people say the SAM needed to be updated, or a faulty light sensor.

Any updates on the situation from similar experiences would be really helpful

Saw a similar experience on this website in the past fortnight.https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...sh-lights.html

Can you leave your headlights on 'manual off ' until the fault is found.?

Buy a new light switch assembly and replace the old one. It's easy to do. I had the same problem on my 2009 C300.

The light switch seems to go out quite often. I just had my 2010 c300 light switch replaced at 40,000 miles. The passenger side parking lights, front and back would stay on even after I set the switch at 0. It drained my battery when I didn't drive the w204 for 4 days. Luckily, MB-roadside replaced the battery under warranty.
