Just curious.

Funny that you mention that. They also get cooled seats as an option.

Because they pay more for them.

I don't know, but the sport package in the states is much cooler. Our sport does not give us red stitching, red seatbelts, metallic interior trim, or the two tone wheels.

Only 2008's in the US had them. Many older threads about problems with them. I stopped using mine because of the terrible noise when they opened or closed. The AD tried top fix them multiple times and they would be good for a short while then start up again. They eventually replaced both mirror assemblies but I had stopped folding them around that time.

I finished retrofitting the power folding mirrors to my 2013 coupe. Pretty straight forward job. I previously retrofitted the folding mirrors on my 2005
c230 as well.

It makes it a lot easier to get in and out of my car while in my garage. It also protects against idiots that cant drive and smack your mirrors, causing damage.

I've had the folding mirror squeal about 4 years ago, after 2 years of ownership. After the squeal, I was fed up with it so I turned off the auto-folding and just use the fold button whenever I need it. I don't remember the last time I heard them squeal and I use them everyday when I park on the street for work.

One of the reasons why I turned it off was for reliability. It's another thing to go wrong on the car.
