Tell me what you think. My ultimate goal is to go black 19" wheels, black trunk spoiler and 20% tint. Is just a start.

Looks out of place on a stock car, but like you said, it's only the beginning! Add painting the chrome foglight surrounds and getting clear side markers to the list. Will look very nice when you're done!

Sorry, don't really like it. I also have a white C Class and like the looks of a white grill.

Not a fan of the single bar grill. But if you like it that's OK.

Like Richard said, continue on w/ the "small" mods like the sidemarkers, foglight surrounds, etc. Big bang-for-the-buck in terms of transformation.
One other easy mod... get overlays for what's affectionately referred to as the "dumbo ear" side mirrors. The big, clear, triangular section just looks out of place IMO. Putting the overlays on gives the mirrors a nice solid "bar" of light when the signals are activated. I like this look even better than the facelift mirrors with their dual thin lines.

I never liked the OEM Grille. I was not white. It was more of a grayish color and looked out of place. Too many colors. White car, silver wheels, grayish spoiler. Not my style.

I wish someone made a perfect fitting aftermarket grill. I'll keep my OEM one

I don't like the gray grill either. I saw a white replacement grill online somewhere that looked like it was a good match for the white paint of the car.

I agree on the mirror covers, i do like the grill one bar and all. However I think that it looks a little stark in contrast to everything else being so light. Maybe the lower center grill being black and tinted headlights would blend that grill in a bit better.

Nice though,

I agree completely and think you should consider painting the A surface of the grille white (although chips would easily show). A monochromatic look is far more cohesive and finished than this stark contrast. I have a different color with Palladium, but showed a monochromatic look for the grille slats and emblem, just using black in the background to show a bit of depth.

The biggest drawback for me wrt the single fin grille is that there's so much "dead space" that it'd show too much of the radiator and various piping bits. One little thing that's bothered me since day one is that if you look straight on at the front of the car, behind the lower grille mesh, you'll see a single "pipe" on the driver's side of the radiator. Always seemed out of place to me so I've been thinking about painting it black. Yes, I know, O...C...D.

BTW, BenzMan, just realized I have an extra set of CF (pattern/look, NOT real CF) mirror overlays if you want them; PM me if so...

I painted it on my 2008. Can't be bothered to do it again.

I think the grill alone as it is now is a little too much black, probably after you match it up with some other black pieces and/or do part of the lower bumper cover it would be more cohesive.

I do agree that the stock gray and chrome grill added to the silver wheels and chrome to accent the body colors is too many different colors except on the silver cars the silver grill is ok.

I went black and chrome everywhere, no silver or gray. black wheels, black out the backround of the grill and left the chrome strips, tint and a black car.

Ultimately do the mods the way you like it and dont worry about what any of us say, its your ride

IMO go with what YOU think looks best. You should go in knowing already that you aren't going to appease the majority of the population.

Also, a black strip (on the bottom bumper) on a pre-facelifted w204 never looked right to me because of the line cutoff. I would get a CF lip instead.

The black grill space is too much contrast against the white color body, it's like a toothless person opening their mouth (no offense to toothless people). Perhaps you can have the tri star and middle tier bar in a lighter silver color like the amg grill to give it some characters. It's not my cup of tea, but if you like it then that's all that matters.

What about keeping the grill black and adding white to the star? It would bring in the color of the car and give the star the a floating look about it!

Otherwise keep on modding!!

That could work, anything to fill out the black space grill would give it some dimensional affect.

You asked for opinions!

It looks very... "junky" to me. Like your stock grille was damaged and you replaced it with some sort of unpainted unfinished one. It has no detail, no sharpness, no focus, and doesn't match the rest of the car. At least leave the chrome star in the center.
