Rattle/Static annoying sounds rear deck mesh speakers.

Hi. i recently got a 2009 c300 this annoying sounds just started like two days ago. Its located on the driver side in the back by the rear deck where the mesh speakers are. when i start the car and drive for about 15mins the annoying rattle/static more like a static sounds from a radio starts to happen. sometimes it goes away for like a couple of mins then comes back. when i mute the radio it still happens. so i dont think its the raido at all. It happen while i am in park or drive and idle or any kind of mode. i looked around everywhere but no luck i could hear it in the trunk too. I dont have any warranty left so dealership is kind out of the question. please help me if i have to i probably will bring it to a benz dealer and pay for them to fix it.

i look through the forums not much came up but something like this from "jctevere" reply here is the link.

Get a vacuum cleaner, with soft brush attachment & clean speaker mesh grill on full power suction.

I had an annoying rattle in my rear mesh/deck. It was nothing like radio static but more like a hollow ticking noise that would get progressively worse over bumps/pot holes and especially during colder weather. I'd notice it when the weather got below 60 degrees F. To remedy it, I found the foam in the trunk under the mesh. There is a metal frame that has holes in it and you can feel the foam in the holes if you poke around inside. I felt that the foam wasn't very snuck or tight so I lazily stuffed folded cardboard pieces to make the foam a snug fit. I haven't heard the rattle unless my friends are all sitting in the back and its late at night in less than 50 F weather. For the most part, my small pieces of cardboard were an easy, cheap and effective fix. If I hear it again, I'll make sure to stuff as much cardboard as I can to make sure it is permanently fixed. I hope this helps OP.

Haha I guess our cars are twins! I don't have any collaboration of pictures except an album I made to show the 20% tint to a few members on MBworld.

Maybe this is good enough lol : https://www.dropbox.com/sh/2tin04crw3u5u0z/_nJqUs40pY#/

You should post a picture for your profile also!

The similar rattle I had back there was due to one of the plastic covers for the upper LATCH anchors. You can tape them down to see if that's your culprit or not.

Rear deck noise

Hi just a couple days ago I started having the exact same issue... it’s driving me crazy. We’re you ever able to resolve the issue?
