Holy crap, it looks just like OEM, this is great alternative for MY10 and MY11 who can't reprogram their SAM.

Wow! Thanks for the update and hopefully the load resistor will remove the errors and light them up correctly!
I almost bought smoked Depos LED one but these new facelift style will go perfect if I decide to buy the facelift aftermarket headlights too

The funny thing too is that it has German writing on the back.

Not one to poo poo everyones hopes, but has any one even considered that these tail lights may in fact be OEM face lift lights and the seller has just bought a heap of them on the cheap from an ebay seller in Germany (if you look on the German ebay site thare are quite a few) and is flogging them off but still making a buck or two, given that there won't be much of a market when the new w205 hits the market. All the issues that are surfacing with these tail lights are identical issues that forum members are experiencing when fitting OEM tail lights purchased either from dealers direct or direct from suppliers in Germany. What do you guys think??

Oem has a Benz logo on the inner corner of the tail lights. Not sure if this one does?

I wouldn't doubt it, knowing that its not plug n play and selling them as if they where, kinda lame on the sellers side....

I don't think they are. I read into the eBay ad a little and it states that these are OEM style LED tail lights.

Also says that they are made from a certified manufacture.(Not Mercedes-Benz)

Ya totally lame. He even put an image of the parking light lit and I don't see the brake light lit whatsoever. To proceed with the brake light resistor mod, I will have to cut 2 wires from the stock harness so I can get the resistor in series. I know how to solder and all that but I'm not sure if I should even attempt to try it and it not work. But at the same time, these tail lights are so much nicer that I kinda want to try it.

I have 2 auto shops I'm inquiring with about programming my SAM so I'll be going that route first. Don't have high hopes but worth a try.

We tried it but the tech couldn't get into parameters to change it. He's willing to try another 2010 SAM so if you're interested I can give you his info. Really cool dude and very knowledgeable. And if you have a 2009 and you're in the bay area, I gave him the instruction for 2009 that was floating around here. So I'm sure he get yours done. PM me if you have questions.

Just buy a 2012 facelift used rear-SAM and it will work.

Bummer. Sorry that it did not work out.

I think these sellers are misrepresenting the fact that these lights are not programmed for 2008-11 models. They are meant to be replacements for 2012+ models.

Other sellers on ebay selling the same lights are using random images of 08-11 models with facelifted tails that have not been programmed. Example:

Those also have huge resistors on them so if you do end up getting them make sure you keep those resistors away from plastic of fabric as they get hot. If possible, mount them on metal so the metal can absorb some of the heat.

Total misrepresentation. And yea they've been popping up all over now and I noticed some of them use mbworld members images. Atleast the one you posted has the picture half right (left side), even though that image is from another member here.

I haven't installed the resistors yet since I'm not sure if it's the correct OHMs..and also I haven't had much time this week. Our work is moving so my projects are in the back burner at the moment. I'm hoping there's an easy way to test without hacking into my wires but hopefully this weekend I'll find out. Another thing that sucks is I don't really have a garage to work in so to be able to see if the mod works, I need to work on it after sunset.
