Vediamo looks like its connected. I see the flashing light on the C4 indicating communication. Attached are screen shots. I can't seem to actually connect to my car and Vediamo seems to indicate I'm in simulation mode. I did install it correctly and got the license too. Any help would be appreciated before I call it a day. Thx

I can't at the moment, but I'll see if I can put something together for you tomorrow morning that should help out. The good news is that Vediamo sees the SDconnect. For whatever reason, you'll always be in "simulation" mode even though it isn't actually simulation mode.
Gas mileage hasn't changed from stock settings at all in my experience. I tend to have a heavy foot, and I never noticed much of a change in mileage at all

That's correct. I've tuned my LS series GM V8s and there's a learning curve to be sure.
Success! - I think. I removed Vediamo, reinstalled a fresh copy, patched it, copied over the CBF files and relaunched. I am able to make contact with with my ME97 ECU. I can get into variant coding but not sure what to do next. I don't see the screens that Funkwagen shows in the screenshots. Will keep working on it - to think i was so close to sending the kit back

Once you are in the variant coding screen, you just go to implicit coding at the top and you will see all parameters.
Thanks. Now I see the parameters. I wasn't sure how I change them so i tried the ecu coding and manual coding buttons but it wasn't clear how the parameter is changed. Then i did get a few errors. pls see below. would appreciate further guidance. thx.

Either works, I use the ECU coding option. You won't fry anything, technically nothing is being flashed, it's just a code string being changed
FYI - Anyone near PA wants this done, but doesn't want to deal with the hassle of getting a STAR, let me know.
😀 Boy is it hassle. If I had not already bought the equipment and spent many hours trying to get it to work I would be driving up to PA from Fl about now!

I normally enjoy things like this but it sounds tough! It sounds worse than some of the software engineering I have to do, lol. Part of the issue seems to be a lack of a larger online community doing this stuff.
very rarely do i accept defeat- but this is one of those times! I did buy Vediamo 5.00.06, activated it, patched it, added a large CBF database that I also bought. a whole new set of errors! Anyway, sending the kit back to China! Sorry to those folks who were relying on me to fix their throttle lag. I may try Xentry/DAS with C3 - which i hear works nicely. If I do i will post here.

Nooo, you are at the last step dude! Literally once you figure this errors out, you click those parameters, click deactivate, click ECU coding and done.
It seems all you are missing is turning off the coding security on the ECU since it keeps saying refused.
If what funk said doesn't work, try clicking these CJ/DJ entriegelung

I did..i got other functions from ******* to try also but those did not work. Believe me, I tried a lot of things including buying an updated version of the software but no luck.

I'm sure I speak for everyone when I say that there is no need to be sorry at all, and I hope you understand how much we appreciate your time and effort. I can understand your frustration and I'm not even dealing with it directly. Please do not allow any of us who are considering the group share to have any burden or pressure on you to perform.
You are very kind to consider sharing with us, and I cannot speak for others on this but since I am on the other side of the USA, I would not feel right without at least helping a little with the cost of the system.

Sorry things didn't work out, I received your PM last night but couldn't find any info on that error or why it was occuring for you. I got the same one and activating those two functions completely solved it for me. Strange. Hopefully you'll have better luck with a different kit, sometimes some kits don't communicate well with the cars I've read, that might have been part of the issue, but there's no way of telling..
OKAY!!! I just met up with Funkwagen a couple of hours ago...............MY CAR FEELS LIKE A WILD BEAST OUT OF HELL!! this change is priceless. I don't mean to rub it in but god damn the car feels like it has no lag in corners, straights its honestly a world of difference it feels like a new car. I took the extra long way home down some winding country roads and damn it flys now, in corners, passing people. its not a slug anymore its so consistent. Im still in shock a 10 minute change made me fall in love with the car all over again. (never lost the love but the lag was annoying and awful in corners).
I haven't had a chance to drive in E mode as i quickly put it in sport.
in sport mode its so zippy now so much power and the torque is amazing what a change. it feel like it knocked 2 seconds of the 0-100 time because there was no lag the power is instant and it just keeps going. I love the change and highly recommend if any one lives close to these two guys drive down pay what ever they ask and get this done(of course only if they offer it to others). once you drive the car you feel the difference and it puts a smile on your face. I could not be happier If people would like an update after a few days ill let you all know but I might not be able to respond as fast I feel like going on a spirited long ride lol.
