Anyone Remember My Car?
Been gone for almost two years. For most of that time, my son had my 09 C Class. He just traded it in Ohio about a month ago, and it wound up here:

I have absolutely zero interest or relationship to this seller or the car at this point, but just was curious and tracked it down. It may need some maintenance items, but it was a great car for the first six years! So, this is not a pretend ad for me, just a fond look back and hoping it goes to a good home!

It was my (first) retirement car so it didn't have the daily grind of commuting. I treated it by the book, plus. For example, changed the fluid in the clutch line along with brake fluid every two years! When I got a different car in 2015, my son took it as an additional car, so it saw only intermittent use there. He added a Meisterschaft full exhaust - he likes more sound - generational thing, perhaps. Lots of life left in it. Sort of sad to see it on a used car lot wherever in Pennsy, but I've moved on. It should make someone very happy. The ad doesn't even call out the Eibach sway bars, strut tower brace, AMG style steering wheel, for gosh sakes. Do those guys know what they have there?

I saw the steering wheel. I could tell it was special from the photos, lol Often those things don't matter for resale and can actually hurt. But hopefully someone finds it that appreciates it. It must have been well cared for given that price.
Hopefully he got a good trade in deal. What did he trade it for?

Our esteemed ex-moderator/voice of reason! That and one of my fellow 6MT drivers. Funny timing. I check MBW infrequently these days and just happened to be reading today when I saw your post. Hope all is well...

Thanks for the kind words and best wishes to you as well! Yes, we did share the MB and MBW experience. All good here...continuing to taste the automotive smorgasbord as you can see in my signature...and to top that off, I'm one of the 325,000+ folks with a deposit on a Tesla 3...somewhere around #300,000, so it will be 2-3 years until I have to commit. Hope all is going well for you and your car!

~2yrs is also when I'll be getting a new car. I almost put the deposit down on the Model 3 as well, but figured so much would change (hopefully many more electric options by then) that I wouldn't buy into the hype now. That and that horrible front end! I'm sure that won't make it into production, though.

The model 3 could very well be my next car and it has nothing to do with it being electric.
I'm tired of the traditional manufacturers making cars that have outdated tech out the door. Both Mercedes and BMW are moving in directions I'm not very fond of design wise. I may want to go with the guy that can land rockets on ships.
