Trim choices: Burled Walnut vs. Birds Eye Maple vs. Aluminum

imo:

Birds eye looks weathered, and was cool only when the car was new.

Aluminum is sporty, but a tad boring and generic, appliance like.

Burled walnut is nice, but very common.

I have aluminum and when it comes down to it I will probably leave it be as it does look sort of chic... but Burled Walnut is nice... question is whether its worth the time and money to install.

I have the aluminum and love it. It matches the steering wheel silver trim, and I also bought the aluminum door pins.

Aluminum.
I don't think wood belongs in a car.

Only if it comes from the excitement and satisfaction of driving it.

I have the walnut and it is fine, but personally like the aluminum better. The aluminum seems harder to find and when I was looking at buying the ones with it generally seemed to be more base models. There is no right or wrong answer here. That sort of thing is a personal preference. Get what YOU like the best.

I like aluminum in the "sport" series, and wood in the "luxury" models.

I have the C250 Sport, with aluminum trim (and nearly every option that was available)

I had a Audi B7 A4 with real aluminum trim and I hated it/regretted getting it. Again, I'm old school, but I'm glad I insisted on the burl walnut on the W204 (I have the sport package).

Best decision I ever made for a car!! Classy and warm. Love it.
