I have what looks to be a slightly different/older version but I am happy with it. It looks very factory but upgrades the look of the car nicely. You can search for some old posts of mine about the install. This unit looks even nicer.

Hi guys, I just purchased one these android units. I have a factory reverse camera, is there any way to that show on the android screen an not the factory command, thus being able to take advantage of the dynamic lines and the radar sensor graph?

I just picked up one of these, got it installed, video works fine. No audio yet as I have to take the centre console apart to run the ami cable back to the aux in the back of the centre console.
I'll be damned if I can get the radio to go all of the way back into the dash. I'm sitting out about 3/8", and I just can't get the big plug out of the way enough to get the radio to go all of the way back in. Anyone have any special tricks or suggestions on where to try to jam the plugs/connectors to get that last little bit?
Also, where have people mounted the gps antenna? I have it taped up to the underside of the dash just behind the new display unit. I get ok reception, but it's not stellar.

I did have the gps antenna the same location you have it but the signal wasn’t that great so I moved the antenna to the A pillar inside the trim, much much better signal.
Quick question can you please take a look at your AC temp display and the outside temp display on the unit and tell me if it accurate with what your car displays? The temperatures my car display VS what’s on the android screen are off, see the picture. Anyone having this issue? An it’s the same issue with the outside temp too

Ok, finally got the head unit fully installed back into the dash. Getting the big plug out of the way so that the head unit will fully seat back in ... not gonna lie ... is a pain in the a... But ... it is possible. I'm installing into a 2013 GLK350, so obviously different that your car, but for me I had to get the big square plug completely below the radio unit and behind the temperature controls before the radio unit would fully seat back into place. Once I figured out that it had to be out of the way, it didn't take me too long to get it there.
Temperature ... same same ... provides a xx.x temperature (why does someone need to know to a decimal point what the temperature is I don't know ... lol) it's close enough for me.
Last problem I am struggling with is that I have no audio coming from the unit. The instructions only came with chinese ... so, I've been taking photos of the manual, then using an app on my iPhone to translate the chinese characters ...
My cable is meant to plug a 3.5mm jack into the AMI unit and then that is how the audio gets into the factory audio ... but nothing ...

V1 firmware flash
Hi guys,
So I have had the v1 of this unit for the past 2 years. It has been working flawlessly. Yesterday it started acting out, could not boot past the Mercedes Benz logo screen (see attached photo), reverse camera still works as I get an image. I am pretty sure it is corrupted firmware (i have tried resetting with reset button, no dice). I happen to have the firmware, my question is does anyone know how to force firmware flash at boot? I read somewhere to copy firmware on SD card and boot with SD card inserted while pressing reset button, this doesn't seem to work for me. Any help would be highly appreciated I am tired of driving with logo constantly displayed.

Applying the firmware / OS to one of these devices is not difficult, but is not for most people.
I have a different brand of one of these in my Audi, and the company just released updated firmware running on Android 7. The approach should be very similar. I can send the link to their wiki, but do not use any of their firmware files … but you can use the instructions to follow how to recover the device. (this is also how you would recover a bricked device)...

Anyone have problems with noise? Audio coming out of the device is great as long as the key is not in the run position. Once there is data going through the CANBUS, I have awful noise in the system.
The unit I have plugs into the 3.5mm aux in jack in the centre console to inject audio into the factory system.

'08 C63 AMG
Excellent thread having just read through the whole thing, this community is great!
I'm wanting to purchase one of these screen for my '08 C63 AMG in RHD (Australia). Having read so many variances of success and options can anyone recommmend the best and least 'buggy' version out now?
I mainly would like to use carplay, music streaming/spotify (Iphone X user), reverse camera, and Google maps.
I had a look through these options on Allieexpress but my mind boggles:
https://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale...04+touchscreen
Any recommendations most appreciated

Has anyone managed to get a ELM327 OBD2 adapter paired up the unit?
Whenever I press on Bluetooth , it can find the adapter but can't pair to it saying that there is the wrong PIN/passcode. It doesnt even give me the option to enter the code

Mercedes A45 AMG
i had same issue, contacted the seller they sent me a zip file link. I downloaded the file onto my computer then put onto a micro sd card, inserted into micro SD card slot on the back on the right side. Then used a pin in the reset hole on the left side and it reloaded and reset unit to factory settings. All good now

per the other thread, I've been trying all day to get AndroidAUTO to work but not luck, all I get it the screen below telling me to connect my phone. iPhone's CarPlay worked immediatly. Same thing applys to screen mirroring, which I really dont car much for. Iphone worked, Android did not.
I have tried 3 different versions of the AutoPlayBox APK but they all say the same thing, just different interfaces.
Newest verions of APK
Old 2017 version of APK
