Hey guys. For android auto via usb, use an app called Head Unit Reloaded. There is a trial version for you to test before you buy. Sign up to be beta tester so you can try the beta app with new Android Auto interface. Once you connect via usb it should auto launch the app.

This also works as wireless. But for wireless to work you need to turn on hot spot on your phone and have the android screen connect. On Android Auto on your phone go to settings and all the way down tap on "Version and permission info" 7x to allow developer mode. Once done, hit the 3 dots on the top right and "Start Head Unit Server". Launch Head Unit Reloaded on the android screen and press the "wifi" icon. To disconnect just hit the back button on you car center console 2x to exit the Head Unit Reloaded app.

I'm using this on the V1 version of the android screen. Also works on my Samsung Tab s5e tablet. So in theory this should work on all the android screen version. I'll post screen shots in a bit and may add this to the OP.

 

I’m trying to get mine working correctly and having issues. Can’t get NTG mode to work, gunna try going thru the resolution options again as seller suggested but might have to splice into a 12v connection that device is not getting as it should from wiring harness.

 

Hi , I have just installed the new 9.0 version with rounded edges on my w204 2012. It fires up the canbus works but I cant get my OEM ntg screen up it just shows the car and nothing else. I tried the bluetooth music and got sound sometimes and sometimes not I've sent a wechat to the supplier but just hoping somebody may know on here. Thanks for any input

 

I’m in the same boat, Amazon seller suggested I hook-up to a 12v connection — which we did but still no go. My car is being wrapped right now, so I can’t experiment until my car’s back.

I have the same unit. Go to NTG setup
You will see a General settings line.
Hold your finger on the line and it will then show two more lines
select factory head unit parameter settings
select the ntg type
select Original menu resolution adjustment and try the all 1 through 13. Mine works best on 9?

Had the 10.25 Android screen installed to 2015 GLK. It is an awesome upgrade but when driving I hear a hear an annoying high pitched ringing sound when playing music with android apps. Contacted seller and they said the fiber optic cable wasnt connect correctly to interface with the media connection. I dont want to pull out all of the wires again. Has anyone else experienced this type of issue?

 

Thank you for starting this forum I just installed my unit over the weekend on my 2009 C300 problem I did run into is packing all that wiring so that my radio sits flush which at this time it does not any suggestions on how to neatly pack all that extra added wire into such a small space any help would be appreciated

It worked for me and i have done it a couple of times but i did end up running all the cables through the left-hand side cavity not through the center as some show?

Did anyone ever find a solution for the left speaker only problem ???I am having the same issue, and I can't seem to find the right setting to see all on the OEM display either? please help very frustrating the Radio play in the other 3 speakers only. I have tried activating the AUX 1,000 times still no sound only to the left speaker even with the AUX disconnected,

I only connected carplay to my phone and kept the Mercedes bluetooth for phone calls and not the Android.
This then gave me sound out of all speakers. I hope that helps?

 

It occurs to me two options:
- either one of the connectors (RCA) for the audio is not properly plugged (the right channel), but this should be visible with other apps. If it plays music normally then this shouldn't be the reason.
- there is a feature where the Display should be able to play the navigation sounds on the Front left speaker at the same time that the OEM Radio works, without switching to AUX. I have seen a few cases where this has worked. But I cannot reproduce it. Theoretically the idea behind is that you use navigation from display and OEM radio. That's my understanding. Which car and which display do you have?

Hi can anyone help me please I purchased a c280 with an android screen around 3 months it’s been working fine when I’ve turned the car on it’s just a blank screen unless I put in reverse the screen comes in can someone please help me fix this

 

its a pretty common problem, you need a ground loop isolator like this one.

Mpow Ground Loop Noise Isolator for Car Audio/Home Stereo System with 3.5mm Audio Cable (Black)
plug that into the aux and you should see an improvement.
