Anti-theft protection activated. Service required.
THANK GOODNESS I have @BenzNinja to help. He did need to purchase a new PIN (or the correct one) from Mercedes. Waiting now to get the PIN.
Using XENTRY, apparently the anti-theft protection is activated.
The 25 zeros is where the PIN should appear. Tomorrow I'm going to check to see if the PIN on my other car is visible and will write it down.

My COMMAND unit became unresponsive - the dealer in Denver, Colorado recommended a replacement for $5000! That was a non-starter for me.
I bought a used unit from a MB parts dealer in the US - fitted it - but now have the anticipated Anti-theft message. The dealer has told me they can not help.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to ‘unlock’ a used head unit? I have the proof of purchase from the parts dealer and the unit is not loisted as stolen.
Any ideas @BenzNinja ?

Dealers may not be allowed by Mercedes corporate to help, not that they are unable to. Plus, I'm sure they would rather get your $5000.
I recently bought a Mercedes E250 Coupe (C207). The car was stored in a container for about 50 days and the battery was completely dead. After replacing the battery, everything worked fine for a day, then suddenly the COMAND screen started showing:
Anti‑Theft Protection Activated Service Required
I’ve tried all the common fixes online — disconnecting the battery, resetting COMAND, and resyncing with the blade key.
Only the blade‑key unlock works temporarily, but the moment I insert the ignition key, the error pops back up immediately and the screen locks again.
Has anyone seen this before or knows which module/fuse usually causes this on the C207? Any help would be really appreciated.
