Much better than those annoying engine enhancements of the true AMG car. 
I guess it should be expected with the increase in the competition's S-Line and "M" lite models and parts.

It's nice mercedes is catering to people who like the "modded" look. So many people buy aftermarket stuff just to make the car look beefier than it really is. These are at least all OEM visual upgrades, better for resale also (won't have a lot of aftermarket stuff stuck on it).
That being said, it'll come with a price that's for sure. Maybe not too bad, but certainly more expensive that finding the said parts and upgrading as you go on your own.

Hard to say. CLA and C-Class are meant to attract different demographics/market segments. MB certainly does not want one to cannibalize the other. MB is hoping the old C-Class (as well as Audi A4, BMW 3-series) crowd will gravitate toward the new C-Class. With the CLA, MB is hoping to gain new sales by attracting customers currently driving non-luxury cars.

The CLA is priced, designed, and intended for buyers who want the class, style, and prestige of a new Mercedes but could never afford a one before.
Aside from attracting those people it will undoubtedly attract other buyers too... it is definitely a sexy machine.
