C300 .... what are your fuel mileage numbers?
In my case, with still just under 2,000 miles on the car, I have seen numbers as high as 33.5 mpg on a level road at steady speed, and as low as 23 with all local driving. My winter numbers are dropping, but we do get a "winter blend" of gas here that seems to be less frugal. The car does get more idling time now with the frigid temps, and I'm also running four snow tires now,
I have not reset my overall average fuel mileage on the computer since purchase, and it now shows 26.7 mpg. Until a week ago, it was holding at a constant 27.3, but I've done quite a bit of harsh winter driving in the last few days.
All numbers are from the onboard computer. I have performed two measured checks, and they agree with those numbers to within just tenths of a mile per gallon. This would seem to be the most accurate computer I've yet seen on any car ... don't know why, but I'll do more checks in the future and see if that level of accuracy is consistent.

It's not bad. I hope it gets better over time.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
This, being my first Mercedes product, is all very new to me. I can tell you all about the Porsche 981 Boxster, the Volvo S60, and the Audi A4, even the BMW Z3 and Z4, but I've still got a lot to learn about the C Class.

I came from a GL450 where my computer stayed steady at 14.7 MPG. Seeing my overall MPG (having not reset since I bought the car) be at 27.1 is very nice.
......FWIW department: the C250 coupe 1.8 4-cylinder recently driven circa 450 miles (state capital - Carmel/Monterey and return) calc'd out at 34.9
MFI showed 34.6 (which is damn close compared to my Teutonic turbo-diesel!)
