No traffic info on COMAND online navigation
I no longer have the little yellow / red dots showing traffic, the arrival time isn't updated to take account of traffic and I have no idea how to get it back - most of the options, including display traffic symbols, are greyed out.
Looks like it is a wider issue. Not very good at all.
What would you suggest I do? Raise it with dealer and advise them I'm aware of other people with same issue?
Have you been offered any compensation? Live traffic was a big part of my decision to upgrade to comand.
I would report the fault to the dealer and let them try and fix it. See where it goes from there.
Completely agree that it is key bit of Sat Nav functionality. Without it of little use to me on the daily commute. Thank goodness for Google Maps. Hopefully Android for the car makes an appearance sooner rather than later and I can ignore the Sat Nav. Won't be soon though.
Good luck.
So my vehicle went to the dealer and they updated the software. Traffic lasted for 24 hours before mysteriously disappearing whilst sat in an unavoidable queue coming out of a shopping centre.
I phoned the dealer and arranged for it to go back in, but the traffic reappeared just as mysteriously before it went back and has worked for a week since.
Watch this space I suppose.

I have been told they are going to replace a part after discussion with Mercedes Technical Support. That is due around the 21st Jan, however, like you, mine has started to work again. Started the car up on Boxing Day and low and behold the traffic was working again and continues to this day.
Very strange.

What is frustrating is it doesn't seem to fail-over to using TMC traffic. Will see if it comes back any time soon.

On Monday I didn't get anything going from Birmingham to Kingston-Upon-Thames, and got caught in a load of roadworks around Hampton Court that Google Maps was well aware of. It was then I noticed the traffic logo wasn't displaying on the nav.
And then coming back tonight, again no traffic logo and got stuck on the M4/M25, not that there's anything unusual about that!
Will see what it's like going back to London on Monday. A bit annoyed as I specifically spec'd Comand Online (and therefore the entire Premium Plus pack!) just for the traffic as I do so much driving in areas that my TomTom has always been able to navigate me around jams happily.
Not good enough on car that's only three weeks old. It's only software.
Annoyingly it happened for a journey that ended up taking 3 hours whcih usually only takes 1 hour.
My theory now is that when the traffic everywhere is completely screwed Tom Tom turn off their updates to Mercedes!
First time it disappeared I had to get a software update from dealer. It then dropped again 24 hours later (in traffic) before re-appearing the next day.
It hadn't reappeared this morning so I'm going to give it the weekend before the dealer gets an angry call.
I haven't got my C yet, so correct me if I'm wrong.
I've never connected my mobile to the car, for internet, (iPhone running iOS 8.2 so it doesn't work) and the traffic worked fine before last week.
Last time a simple update of COMAND apparently worked. Think I will ask a few more questions this time though.
How is everyone else's?
However, there are a number of 'hops' for this to work, including the SIM being registered on the MB database and with the traffic update provider. There may be more, but that is what I remember. After the repair it was not working, but 24 hours later it started working i.e. all the databases got into sync to let it work.
Good luck.
It'll say 'TMC' if it's getting radio-based broadcasts.
In my case, it says neither because it's bust.
