Mercedes Benz C300 w205 with 20" or 19" rims
I haven't seen a luxury w205 with 19" or 20" rims.
I KNOW they'd would look sexy as F*CK
So I photoshopped them on... they look sexy, IMO.

20's do look good on the car, but in honesty I think the 19 inch set up is the way to go. If you are looking at doing a monoblock 1pc full face type of wheel, then going with a 19 will not disappoint.
If you are doing a lip design, deep dish multi pc etc, then a 19 will look a bit small unless you go with a multi pc step lip design where the spokes of the center reach out into the lip, then you will still have a nice aggressive look.
I hope this info helps!

Thank you

With the correct widths and offsets you wont have any problems and you will keep stock circumference.

They'll also look too tall and thin from the front or rear view ( which is why you usually only see them in profile pics).
When you want to determine where to stop when you Plus One or Plus Two, see where Mercedes Benz stops with their most aggressive, high performance model.
On the 205, the C63 gets 19". Be like Mercedes. Stop at 19". And leave some air in your struts. Preferably all of it.

"Be like Mercedes" , sounds like great fun, dont modify, adapt, style or tweek, just be like everyone else
Visually a 20" looks like too much wheel on a 205 to me. A drop plus that little amount of sidewall degrades the ride. Generally, if you want your car to look like a skateboard, don't be surprised if it rides like one.

Maybe you drove the Airmatic version with "passive" dampers?

The dampening is happening in the air spring (or not happening in your case). The shock itself is not actively dampened. Evacuating the air in an air spring is no different than removing the coils in a steel suspension. If you think the AirMatic system in your C Class has a way to magically compensate for a slam I have a nice cactus to sell you😉

Drive one, then open mouth.
In other shocking news, if you remove the water from a fish tank you no longer have an aquarium! (Haven't tried this myself either. Just an assumption.)

And this comes from the guy who was dead positive and tried to convince me that Airmatic vehicles didnt have Active shock absorbers

credibility is a mo fo.

Are you stating that there is zero change in ride stiffness on your car, dropped and on 20's, or are you saying it is noticeably stiffer but still tolerable to you?
The Active dampers in W205 Airmatic use the same function as the ADS system in the C63 where it is possible to change the shock properties to softer or harder, this is done without air bellows, hence not affecting ride height.
And I have never said that there is zero difference between my car and a stock one, but as I drive new 205.s every day I have the ability to compare all different setups to my own, and yes it is stiffer, but not by much, in Comfort mode the change is almost not noticeable.

Thank you
I am not familiar with the Rohana brand of wheels...In regards to advice on what is recommended I would start with contacting Rohana and finding out if their wheels are made specifically for Mercedes, find out where the wheels are made, are they TUV approved, and are they designed to properly fit the car and use the factory alignment equipment- meaning do they have the 5 holes in between the lug holes that are designed to work with the guide pins on the factory alignment machine?
There are so many wheels throughout the market, just like there are tons of cars in the market, you chose to buy a Mercedes-Benz which is a premium brand, so when it comes to anything aftermarket I would choose something that is specifically for Mercedes.
There are different strokes for different folks...in the car business we always say there is an *** for every seat! Choose what you like because you like it, but just make sure you are modifying your car with a product that is right for your Mercedes.

Can you advise on tyre size? i was advised 235 35 19 for the front and 265 30 19 for the rear, i just think the rear 30 profile will be too low and the car may not look nice unless lowered
Any advise is welcomed
