Just to bring this topc to to a conclusion... The AMG sport trim does have active exhausts on the C200 petrol. I went to the showroom today and checked on the only C200 AMG petrol they had on the floor. Picture below.
I hope this helps anyone who has the same question as I did.
Most likely as the Bluetec diesels have the AdBlue tank placed where the right exhaust silencer normally should be.
This is why diesels have only one live exhaust

Possibly Vic. I've never seen a diesel with a live exhaust. I have certainly never seen a vanity with one side open & one side blocked like Eilers was talking about. I'm just interested.
Google the erstwhile Max Gehring at Benz & see what you find ~ nothing! That is left to the high profile front men.
EDIT: Oh & we won a number of SA championships in the late 70's & the 80's.
So you are not answering my questions by answering three times?

I can't know for sure, but I am getting increasingly convinced that you never manged any race team. Maybe you worked in Oil, and maybe your company sponsored an F1 team, but I think you were not involved in the F1 Team at all. You brought this whole F1 and Racing career story up, while telling me that I had no understanding of suspensions. You on the other had, had expereince from an F1 team and what not.
By the way, how exactly does advising on oil, make you an expert on suspensions, to the degree that you can use it as a weapon in a discussion?
This whole Cloak and Dagger story.. keeping it secret that a retired person worked with a Team at some point in the past. That is just not how it works. Anyone with the smalles insight to the world of Motorsports would realise that. In fact keeping anything secret in motorsports is neigh on impossible.
Why would you say that a Team manager will not be mentioned in the press? How can you manage a huge team with 22 riders for a decade and never be mentioned anywhere? There are many sites dedicated to Historic Motorsport , certainly including Teams and major competitions from the 70's and 80's.
XYZ wasn't around until 1998. How can they sponsor your team in the 70's and 80's?
There is nothing to be found on the internet of your illustrious carreer in racing, but with such a long career in Motorsports, surely you shold have tons of memorabillia?
Why don't you post some photos of your Trophys, newspaper clippings, or photos of you with the teams?
Wow, it's truly impressive to see a person so ambitious in trying to find dirt about something not even regarding the thread subject. Please enlighten me, if it cannot be found online, it isn't true?

It is quite important to understand why we are arguing, and why we are arguing in this thread.
In another thread, Glyn brought up his past as an expert on suspensions, with F1 experience entirely on his own accord. He brought it up to assert his authority, while at the same time making a derogatory comment about me.
He then carried over the bad blood from that other thread, to this thread, when in fact I had done nothing else, but try to be helpful to another member. You Vic, then joined Glyn with more personal attacks.
Your last post, yet another personal attack, is a classic example of the pot calling the kettle black.
And now in your last post, you are even trying to make it look like I am solely responsible for this thead diverting from its original theme.
You are of course free to make your very own assumptions,
my guess is that the majority of the MBWorld members here respect Glyn and his knowledge way higher than mine and in particular yours.

Take a hike! Suggest you start paging through old issues of "Motocourse" annual. SA covered at the rear. The team covered the disciplines of Track, Motocross, Supercross & Enduro.
BTW ~ Who do you think develops & manufactures the VHVI damper fluids?

I agree. Eilers, you need to give it a rest. You are embarrassing yourself and you come across as having a personal vendetta against Glyn (and to a lesser extent, Vic). Some of your behaviour sounds borderline stalker-ish.
If I were a "super moderator" like Glyn, I would have banned you from this forum a long time ago. You're really making this thread quite unpleasant. Is it really so difficult for you to accept that other people might have more knowledge of the W205 and other things than you do? Isn't one reason for going on forums like this to learn?
^ I agree with the above two posts. Your input (as with all other members) is great when it is trying to resolve a problem or query but endless arguing in threads does nothing to help us or yourself.
Speaking of pushing my video in every thread on the forum, here's a thoroughly engrossing and fascinating video of me driving my petrol C Class to the car wash.

YAY! Your excitement is great. The videos? Getting tiresome. But do stick around and if someone asks a question and you know the answer, answer it. You know like this:
Anyone know where the gas cap is on a C Class car?
Instead of posting a video and saying, check out 2:45, a simple on the rear left side of the car, would be so much more helpful.
