I did this for my BMW.. I used it once. Pointless. Only time I use video is when I'm sat waiting for someone so best left the way it is imho.

Maniac, I had a thought about this: I'll be getting the HUD system so I won't actually need to use the centre console much for the satnav on a long drive so with others in the car it would be an ideal entertainment system.

Although I agree that the price tag is a bit much...

You should also be aware it's illegal in the UK to have a video source viewable by the driver while in motion.

Same in Japan, which is why our dealer very apologetically said he couldn't set it up for us. He indicated it was quite simple to set up, but illegal.
