The UK seller buys it wholesale from China and resells to you at a profit.

Yeah i know that, but the difference of £50 is not much when you may also get charged customs.

Is it my eyes? If you count the outer most rows of diamonds on the bottom half of the grill, the Chinese ones have 4 or 6 rows, while the OEM have 5 rows.

Can we please get someone to count their diamonds ?

In addition to having only 4 rows of diamonds on the outer most columns of the bottom half of the Chinese grill compared to 5 rows on the OEM grill, I see that :

On the top half, there are 13 columns of diamonds on each side of the OEM grill compared to 12 columns on the Chinese grill.

While on the bottom half, there are 12 columns of diamonds of the OEM grill compared to 11 columns on the Chinese ones.

OEM, using a picture of MBROCKER's C450. I hope he doesn't mind.

I would have noticed if they were out of line when i got the grill, most likely its the angle i held my phone when taking the pic

In terms of the amount of diamonds, it really does not make a difference imo....
each to their own though

You could also buy the original grill from Germany.

Without 360 camera:

Just installed. any ideas how to screw back the 2x 10mm screws underneath the car holding the bumper in place without having the ability to use a floor jack. I don't have one. Is removing the black pan the only access?

I was one of the first to get the chinese grill, back then there were no c450's and you could not purchase it from any dealer - I had limited choice to accomplish the look I wanted which was like the one in my CLA,

To be honest, unless you count rows and look very very close, there is not telling them apart, it has la2%sted long and still looks good after almost a year.

Now I am just waiting to order the C43 coupe - when it comes out.

You will struggle, get the right tools and do it right, nothing like the feeling of breaking something that could have been avoided. !@#$!%!%

Thanks Bartola! Quick question do you recall finally accessing through underneath the car with the oil pan removed or through the inner liner?

unfortunately, removing the plastic access panels is the easiest way, time consuming, but safe bet.

Will the dealers switch this out for you if you order the parts through them? In order words does the 2016 C450AMG grill parts fit the C300 without any modifications where a willing dealer would be able to install it for you?

Has anyone ordered the OEM part of the C63 grille or the C450? Do they both fit? I'm inclined to buy an OEM part because then the dealer will fit it and it's covered by warranty.

I actually bought the grille off Muscle Leopard but just can't bring myself to have it installed.

Install was free of charge since I did all job alone. It took 2 hours.

The very first step in the WIS schematic (the two screws labelled 2) is described in the instructions on the last page as: "Remove front and centre engine compartment paneling and remove screws bolts"...

I can't find these two bloody screws. The picture makes no sense to me. Also the covering on the underside of the car seems screwed into the bumper. Is that the case or am I seeing things. I really want help with those first two screws though. Today I removed all the expansion rivets, the two nuts on each side and all the screws and nuts along the top of the nose. But those two screws couldn't be found and the bumper wouldn't come off.

Also, does anyone know where I can find the negative battery terminal in order to unplug it and the best way to unplug the electric connector inside the right side fender?

Sounds like this is what I'm talking about in my reply above. I think I need to remove the oil pan/under-cover and those two screws are holding the bumper into two brackets down at the bottom.... Am I right? That solves a lot of mystery. I had access to those under side covers today. There's about 6 nuts holding them in place. Looked easy enough to remove. Will try tomorrow.
