it took me and a friend about 3 hours to do. The hardest part for us was mounting the new grill into the bumper. Its a tight fit.
here are some tips for others who may attempt the install:
- jack up the car to remove 2 10mm bolts to the side of intercooler and the 7 ~9 8mm bolts holding the black pan
- not necessary but i removed the wheels to apply the caliper stickers and it made removing the 4 plastic rivets and 2 10mm bolts under the wheel area alot easier.
* i had jackstands but friend didnt want to use them so i told him all the under car stuff was his
Hi.
I 'm planning to install the grill myself but i have a couple of questions before starting.
Must the battery be disconnected?and if yes, where is the battery?I cannot seem to find it..
Second,if battery is disconnected, did you get any errors and are there any steps to do after that, like syncing the windows or something.
Can the bumper be removed without jacking up the car?
Thank you.
